Over the past five seasons...Jerry has been walking upon the grace given to him in patience of the fans. Most of us saw a bankrupted team as to their cap. We have been patient and biting our tongues in the mean time. We have a deep respect for what the Cowboys means to us.
Well, control of that same cap has been now accomplished. It is a tool of the team once again.
But neither Jerry or his Son, Stephen, had best forget that the NFL is a special type of business. It is not based upon the cash flow side of success. It is rooted in the competition of the sport, itself.
When the highlighted end of fiscal year accountant's report rolls up, that better not be direction sought once the off season starts to bloom. That only provides resources for the on field product.
Denver realized that the quality on the carpet, had best match the competitive levels in the league. Not just the appearance of a good potential talent group.
Following this very season, neither Jerry or his hand picked Head Coach, Jason Garrett, will receive a pass unless this very team from the start, is in the thick of things.
Dallas had best not allow a bunch of management rules keep them from getting what will make their team, the very best they can be. Not just a little difficult for any opponent to deal with.
Patience is a virtue alright, until a franchise asks it's fans to wait yet another five year plan out...
but, 'This is your one chance Fancy, don't let us down!'
But though I ain't had to worry 'bout nothin' for nigh on fifteen years
Well, I can still hear the desperation in my poor Mama's voice ringin' in my ears
"Here's your one chance, Fancy, don't let me down.
Here's your one chance, Fancy, don't let me down."
Lord, forgive me for what I do
But if you want out well it's up to you
Now don't let me down
Now your Mama's gonna move you uptown
