Bob, half of this stretch was under the command of Garrett. And he still says that thry can coach better. It is definitely not bad luck.

In spite of watching the replay of the tripping call, not raging over the refs shows me that he quit on the team. Pete Carroll, Bill Belichik, Sean Payton, even Pedersen would be all over the refs after that call. Not because it is the true behavior, but to make it clear to their face that the call was BS. Ours was just staring with a tilted head.

Since we won our last Super Bowl twenty three years ago, 12 different NFL teams have won the last 23 SBs, 10 of the 16 NFC teams have won the last 23 NFC championships, and 13 of the 16 NFC teams have won at least divisional playoff games. None of them is named Dallas.

Only the skins and the lions join us in not playing in an NFC championship game since then.

That kind of playoff drought in this era of NFL parity is not bad luck. It’s not the NFL “cheating us”. It’s just bad football management, a bad culture, and maybe even some bad karma. That’s what this pig headed owner has done to this once great franchise. Anyone else remember when we were what the patriots are now?

It’s not bad luck that has tarnished the star. It’s bad leadership at the top.

First of all, we were never what the Patriots are now. I don't think any franchise can stake claim to that. Cheating scandals aside, the Patriots have been the most dominant dynasty in the modern NFL. The 70s Steelers would probably come in second, followed by the 49ers of the 80s and the Cowboys of the 90s.

Secondly, you are absolutely correct that Jerry Jones is responsible for this mess. And this goes way beyond the hiring of Garrett. How many examples of "Jerry's Way" can we use to show his ego has cost the team over the last 20+ years. Quincy Carter, Roy Willams (WR), Drew Henson, Brandon Weeden's prettiest ball ever, Switzer, Chan Gailey, Red, Marinelli, Kiffin, Bobby Carpenter, Ryan Leaf, We don't need a #1 WR, writing Johnny Football's name on the draft card even though we actually didn't draft him, Dave Campo, firing Jimmy, Morris Claiborne, ....I could literally keep writing for an hour.

Gailey, Campo, Wade, Garrett...these are the coaches that our GM thought were the best suited to run Americans team.

And our fan base has rewarded him handsomely for his lack of achievements this era. Perhaps we are sending him the wrong message?

Jerry would rather be comfortable than competitive. Two super bowl-winning coaches decided dealing with Jerry just wasn't worth it. People just don't leave jobs that they love and have success at. Bill turned a 5-11team around and got them to the playoffs, Jimmy won back-to-back Super Bowls, yet they both walked out on Jerry. That tells you all you need to know.

Personally I think there is blame to go around. Yes Jerry probably deserves the bulk of it but let's not kid ourselves into thinking that Jimmy and Parcells were lambs to work with. In any such relationship it's give and take and perhaps the issue here is the inability to compromise.

We have a gutless coach and an owner who publicly undresses his coach in the media. It’s a clownshow. How do you really fix this?

Easy.......

Obviously the NFL has it in for the Commanders and Lions, too. They won't let them win, either!

Yea the Conspiracy Theory is rubbish.. The NFL revenue juggernaut is going to intentionally cutoff its Golden God generator. Make perfect sense.

Ya know what? Lots on here complain about the "Refs." Rightfully so. I know, I used to be one. But instead of screaming about the Refs, direct your anger where it belongs. The Refs are simply doing what they're told to do. Games are being manipulated.

If you can't see that you are blind - if you won't see that , you're a fool.

I'll wait for you to provide actual evidence of said manipulation. *pulls up a chair* :muttley:

Note: photos of bad calls are not evidence of a conspiracy. They're evidence of bad calls.

Show me one whistle blower. Anything. Until then you're lumped in with the other guys who need a boogeyman because they can't accept the abject failure of their favorite team.

You don’t think an empty stadium would have a greater effect?

If you stormed the castle Jerry would have the cheerleaders and concessions out there.

And you would be there waving your Pom poms at your hero Garrett.

Jerry’s got us. We are football junkies. We’ll take whatever crap he deals us and be waiting around the corner for the next fix.. time and time again. Sad
