After the 44-6 loss last year I immediately wanted to throw up and after working out for 5 hrs that night the next day I was most part over it but this loss has struck deep and hit a nerve that I now is going to take awhile to recover from. I think the main reason why (and some of you might agree) is because we all thought that it was once again our time to shine and at least we would make it to the Superbowl and to get beat in that fashion was demoralizing. I gotta give it to the Vikes they executed each play to perfection and Chill had a great gameplane against out explosive Offense. We all got to see how one coach can just out smart another one so badly. Oh well I do feel that next season is going to be a much better season even though I say that every year next season we will be on the big stage I just need to figure out how not to look like someone just died at work lol

IT bothered me that day. Then some yesterday, but I'm good now. IT will probably be a bit tough next Sunday when we are watching the Saints game, but then I will be totally over it. Can't dwell on it forever.

Start looking at the draft and how we can improve the team. That is what 27 other teams are doing right now.

I'm still pissed about the Super Bowl losses to the Steelers.

It stings because we have to wait 6 months before we play another meaningful game. The finality of these games are devestating.

middle of the season more than half the fans were ready to pack it in, declared the season over, were shopping for new coaches and scouting the draft class.

By the end of the season I felt like we could beat anyone, we won our division for the second time in 3 years, we won a playoff game and avenged our loss against the Eagles by beating them THREE times this season. Tony Romo is a different kind of leader, the team has a different kind of chemistry and it all feels better than it has since, well, dare I say, the 90s...

Nah, nothing to get over, matter of fact, I intend to celebrate for some time.

My Boys are back.

I hear you. But there is a flip side to this that has allowed me to "get over the loss quicker."
And that's hope/optimism for next year.

44-6 was devastating. There was no hope, only misery. I took me the better pasrt of a month to even come back on this site with any regularity and consider the future.

2007 and 2009 sting most for the missed opportunity, but it's easier to look forward to the next year.

I hope the Vikings win it all and Favre gets his ride off into the sunset that he so desperately needs.

Go get em Brett. Then finally retire.

Sweet. BTW, you're in the DC area. Has it been brutal for you this morning. It has for me. I don't even want to watch football next week.

Not really. The Skins fans around here are in no position to look down their noses at anyone.
