I know that sounds crazy but think about, 3 goal to goal situations and only scored 3 points. 2 fumbles one by Ferguson and Williams. I believe 5 sacks allowed. Only 1 TD scored, numerous penalties with the holding calls. Dropped passes etc. This team is built on winning games where the defense only gives up 27 points as crazy as that sounds. All the money, all the picks have been spent on offense. If I said pregame the defense would allow 27 points with only 10 coming in the second half, we all would have had this as a W.

I know its crazy but even though the defense allowed scores on 50% of the Cardinals possessions, I have to agree with you. The offense has to be better. Pickens played well and Javonte Williams played well. The rest of the offense was the to terrible. The offensive line was terrible in pass protection. 19 pressures allowed in 39 pass attempts, that's almost 50%, is just horrible.

I am not pinning this loss on Dak, but he has not been at his best the last two games and he has to be if the Cowboys are going to win games. What happened to the Dak that faced the Packers defense and sliced them up? In that game he expected pressure and was getting rid of the ball early with decisiveness and accuracy. Last night he held the ball, threw is late, and was off with his throws. Bring back the Packers game plan because that is how this offense needs to operate as long as the OL struggles in pass protection. Also, Needing 2 score late in the 4th quarter, Dak need to look downfield and dirt the ball in front of Williams. a 0 yard pass there is pointless and keeps the clock running. Dak was not smart during that last possession. But he had so little time to set and throw too.

The Cowboys need to run the ball more. Get Williams going and allow this offensive line to move people. They are better run blockers that pass protectors. Take advantage of that.

I am a big believer in the John Madden philosophy that you have to get points the first opportunity you have to score your first points. I understand the logic on that first drive, but take the points. Do not give the other team momentum for their first possession. I also agree with Troy Aikman, later in the game down 3 scores take the 3 points and make it a 2 score game. That could have made a huge difference at the end if Dallas only need 1 score.

Two weeks in a row now opposing defense took away the passing game. Dak made some really tight window throws but the WRs need to get more open. Dak needs to look beyond Pickens and Lamb. Flournoy is a very capable WRs. Don't be afraid to look for him.

Ferguson is such a disappointment. But honestly, he has always be a mid level player. The Cowboys need a TE with more speed. The Cowboys TEs are all slow as molasses.

The defense is what it is. The Cowboys need to score at least 30 points to win games. That is a lot of pressure to play with every week, but they better get used to it. The defense is the worst I have ever seen.

This offense isn't as good as we think it is! Trust and believe! We lack play makers, we lack play design that schemes guys wide open, we lack smart play calling in terms of not getting the first down and making it complicated. This opposing team killed us last night doing comeback routes, why couldn't we do that a few times? The one play where they were bunched up, and the CB was playing soft, we threw a deep route instead!

That's just not true. Not even close to the truth.
It seems our playmakers just can't do it when it matters most.

The opening drive for example. Some great plays...and then when you GOT to punch it in...you fall on your face.

I mentioned it in another thread. Racked up some stats...for zero points. Crazy.

Interesting the their receivers come back to the ball.

I think you are right.

But as i wrote before that game the cardinals to me are a way better team than their record shows. And i do think their defense is a good one.

Dak against good defense is something you dont want to behold. He is not a good player and it shows when he has to play against better defensis.

We have a generstional bad defense but our main problem for ten years now has to be looked for at a different position

There didnt appear to be adjustments made during the game on offense. They have run that play to Ferguson at the goal line alot, why not set it up but use it as a decoy and go somewhere else. Also, dak is getting constant pressure, so why are they running 25 yard routes? Why not adjust and shorten routes with slants etc.? They cant get a yard on the ground between the tackles if the other team knows its coming either. They do well when the other D is spread out but it its 3rd/4th and 1 or goal line...just punt it up to jerry in the suite. They wont get it.

...the Oline dropped the ball. Dak was under duress most of night.

Offense also looked undisciplined compared to earlier weeks.

PS.. Steele is not that guy anymore.

It’s possible that Bebe’s return from injury affected the offensive line’s timing and cohesion, especially in pass protection

I couldn't argue with that...they kept shooting themselves in the foot....stupid is what stupid does

Really good and accurate post.
I'm watching the same team you are.
Spot on.

The Cardinals were in his face all night long....no QB thrives under that much pressure. He doesn't get a pass, but the reality is the offensive line blew. Guyton and Steele just whiff on about every other pass play.
