So, personally, I'm already excited. I always like when my team is in sole possession of first place early on in the season. It shows something. And in our division it shows we are the best. We have a 3-0 record again divisional opponents. I argue we face some really good talent, i.e, Eli Manning, RG III, Michael Vick.

I think our guy, Tony Romo, has something special. I think we've always treated him like a step child and given him second best when it comes to offensive linemen.

I have not been a homer, because in close games Garrett has a hard time getting it done with simple things that cost us. Those things are critical to success.

But I think this is a great group of players who can step it up against Detroit. But this is a real test, I think. If we win and the Eagles lose, we can have a real grip on 1st place. And if we lose and the Eagles win, we'll be tied with them for the division--all in one game.

So this next game is a test to see where we are in the conversation of New Orleans and Seattle. We have the firepower to do it, I think. But where we are as a team is a question. There is a lot riding on this next game.

Every team we face will test us in some way. I know we're 4-3, but if we continue to play with the strong will we've shown we will see an increase on the win column.

Daryl Johnston commented on one of the local sports radio shows that if Dallas can put together solid production from both the offense and defense at the same time they will be formidable. I would agree.

I agree, this will be a big test. We are 0-3 against top 16 teams, an away win against one of them will be very meaningful.

Yes, this is a very big game. If we win this game.. and then next week vs. the Vikings.. that puts us at 6-3 and 4 straight wins heading into the Saints game. Almost sounds too good to be true. This is a 50/50 game in my opinion.

I think Stafford is a good QB but there is no way he can manipulate our defensive scheme like Rivers and Manning.

He can however chunk the ball up as far and as high as he can to Calvin though :(.

Im glad we have a corner that at least can match up.

Should be a good game but I think we win.

Every game is a test. The Broncos game was more of a test than this game will be. Not like the Lions are playing lights out.. Dallas has faced subpar teams and the East is a joke.

Depends on which Dallas team shows up like usual.

This week's game is a real test. I see it as the singlemost indicator of what this team is and will be for the rest of the season. Not saying if we lose- we're done, by any means. Not saying if we win- we're SB bound, either. But a W vs Detroit is enough to spring a real streak and solidify this team as being for real; the kind of match we can't keep losing if we are.

But then the following week will be a test and the one after that and the one after that. lol Every game is a test, during the week you get ready for the test and on sunday is the day you see if it the work paid off.

Stafford has a great arm but he can be very inaccurate at times. And he is not mobile.

If we get good D-line work we should hold their offense down to under 20 points.

I feel this will be a bust out game for our offense - passing game benefits from being indoors. I expect a 31-20 win

I hope Carr maches up with him. When at kc I remember him doing very well against Johnson.

It goes to inconsistency to me.

The defense allowed less than 20 points in 4 games.
The offense has scored more than 20 points in 5 games.

We've been in every game that we lost. We're 3rd in points scored and we're 16th in points allowed. We also played Denver who is #1 by far.

After all these years we're still a team that doesn't have an identity.

Tons of excuses that a playoff team needs to get over.

They need to beat a team with a winning record. They need to stack a 3 game winning streak. They need to be a good team on the road.

I think we are very close to solidifying an identity. Our aggregate 3 phases are as solid as ever. We can beat a team every which way. We already have.

Oline - best in years and still improving
QB - good as ever and turning it over less
WRs - deep as ever
RB - better depth
DL - coached up and relentless
LBs - best in a long time
Secondary - getting better every week
Special Teams - Harris best STer in the NFL, great FG kicker, solid coverage, etc

Then we have the intangibles of being a more focused and disciplined team with more heart and swagger than we've seen in 20 years.

Yet we still find ways to lose in the end. Which seems to be our identity. We had an opportunity to upset Denver. What happened? The offensive line collapsed at the end, and Romo was forced into throwing a pick. What happened in San Diego? Terrance Williams fumbles at the end. The offensive line simply didn't protect romo well enough in Kansas City and we never established the run.

We've got to avoid these things going forward. Get off to early leads and use the running game to our advantage. We really need Murray to come back and be healthy.

It will come down to Stafford vs. Romo, whoever has the better game, and makes the least mistakes will win.
