But we wouldn't have got Gregory. We would have had to give up a second to move up to get Gurley. I believe Gregory would have gone either late second or by the time our third round pick came up.

Yes, I have no knock on the first two picks. No running back worth taking was available at 27, and Dallas just couldn't pass on Gregory at 60.

Now, I would have used the 91st pick on Buck Allen, and it sure looks like it might have been a better use of the pick considering that we got Collins. Of course, who knows how these things will work out.

Depends on the QB. He's not for long. I could never be high on a team's future if they don't have a QB in place behind the aging starter.

It's a QB driven league. It's hard to find that franchise guy. The teams that have them, win. They teams that don't are just forever mired in mediocrity until they find one.

If the roll that they seem to be on right now continues, Dustin Vaughan will be the next Romo.

OK, now I have woken up.

I think you're going to see next year's draft as the draft of the "offensive skill player".

-RB
-QB
-WR
And the Cowboys' yearly pick of a TE. :)

They will have some interesting decisions to make. Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain are both on one year deals. Tyrone Crawford will be eligible for free agency. Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne will not be back (Carr might be gone this year). Any one of those spots could have a high draft pick thrown at them.

You should be happy with my list - corners were represented.

I was thrilled then and thrilled now. The day I was disappointed was when Landry was fired. I moved on though from that day as the big picture was revealed. Great past week though!

I was excited when Jerry bought the team and fired Landry. The Cowboys had declined to be a horrible team. Landry was old. It was time to move on. IMO, Jerry fired Landry in the most respectful way possible. Jerry took his time to go to Landry to tell him. He could have just told him on the phone or if Landry was going to hide out in Austin, Jerry could have just done if through the press.

I agree with you and felt the same way my disappointment started to fade as soon as jimmy was hired.
