This "5 points at halftime" thing.

Much is being made of us "ONLY" being down by 5 at the half. I'd TRUELY like to know how many here would bet on us winning that game with Bledsoe at QB in the second half. I just watched the game again and i can honestly say Drew would have had little chance the way they were getting after us on both sides of the ball. Now i can agree with the arguement that halftime isn't as good as the start of the game for Tony, but the assertion that Bledsoe could have won that game, i don't buy.

I totally agree...

Bledsoe was in his shell shock mode.

No one can say honestly one way or the other because it never happened. I do know the offense stepped it up in the 2nd qrt after a very poor 1st qrt. I'm not going to say that had Bledsoe stayed in that we would have won but I'm not going to say we would have lost either. There is no way to know what could have happened.

I don't think we'd have won with Bledsoe.

I think it'd have been closer. But I was watching the game at a friend's house and was basically mentally preparing for a loss if Bledsoe remained in the game. Not gonna backtrack from that just because Romo came in and didn't save the day.

We had some momentum. The INT was a bad decision, but we had the ball coming out for the 2nd half.

The tipped pass that romo had intercepted would have been intercepted if it wouldn't have been tipped. The giants then scored easily and we were screwed.

In the first half, if Bledsoe would have traded two of those sacks for interceptions, he half would have equalled Romo's. I'd rather have the sacks.

Dont forget to discount one of those romo tds and a big chunk of yards because the defense was up by 21 with 4 minutes left in the game.

I dont love Bledsoe or hate Romo, it was just plain simply a horrible idea to put him in the game.

I know the Giants would of broke the record for most sacks in a game :)

You are right though no telling what would of happened.

I can't say we would have won, but I do think we would have been in the game for the whole game.

Yeah, the scoreboard said 5 points, but I saw Dallas getting dominated, and it wasn't getting any better. The Cowboys just flat got beat last night. Neither Romo nor Bledsoe were chaning that...

Funny, i did the same thing. We were saved from a 19-7 deficit by TNew and after Drew threw that pick i mentally prepared myself for 3-3. It's not that i didn't believe in the team, i've just seen this "Mode" before as was said earlier in this thread.

Yeah.. then Bledsoe would either throw a crucial INt or get sack and fumble. It was time for a change.

Instead of going for the record for most Interceptions in a half?

So being out of the game is better than being in the game?

Too bad we don't have the ability to change the real problem, the OL.

Who cares... you lose either way, but by playing ROMO you get to see the bigger picture for the football team. Bledsoe is done. Move on, Parcell has and he was Bledsoe biggest supporter.

Bledsoe wouldn't have done anything. He didn't even score on that gift TD. I'm pretty sure there are people on this board who would like for him to start the '07 season as well. Just don't get it.

We were only down by 5 points because other than the Watkins TD the defense somehow kept us in a game we were otherwise getting dominated in. The reality is we should have been down at least 23-7 at the half.

Regardless of whether or not Bledsoe would have made the turnovers that Romo did, and I don't see how anyone could rightfully claim he wouldn't have, the defense started to crumble in the 2nd half. Bledsoe would have been down big in the 2nd half, with no running game to speak off, with the Giants unleashing the hounds on every snap. The result wouldn't have been pretty. Maybe we wouldn't have lost 36-22, but it would have probably been somewhere along the lines of 27-10.

I agree. I didnt think he'd pull Drew this soon.. I thought it'd take a couple bad games in a row. I wasnt sure if it would be this one and Carolina or Carolina and Wash.

My guess was the latter because of them being on the road where hes more prone to make mistakes.

By now making that same boneheaded throw even in a home game that we needed, that sealed it. Move on.
