This "they did not really try" will backfire

First of all...a bye, and a home game were on the line....no one GIVES that away.

Secondly, if the Cowboys have to hear all week that Philly did not really try, this will only stoke the fire that burns in the Cowboys even more.

Lastly, Philly's inability to use DeSean Jackson to open things up for everyone else really hurt them. I think DeSean got hurt trying to break up that pick Hamlin was about to get, and he was hurt the rest of the game.

Agree with all the above.

Jackson jogged his routes much of the second half. Either he was hurt or frustrated and pouting.

I hope philly plays the "not really trying" tune all week. The Cowboys should be even further motivated.

I am convinced he was hurt

Anyone who believes that Philly didn't try to play their best doesn't know football. The Cowboys took away Philly's ability to do anything on offense/defense and placed the pressure squarely on McNabbs shoulders (he failed plain and simple).

Keep in mind McNabb played the whole game. A team who decides to mail it in doesn't typically keep their starting QB in the game.

You have to find something you believe in when you got your rear kicked this bad like they had.

Just go on and lie to yourself some more Philly and while that i'll punch my ticket to Minny the week later.

The Eagles are just trying to convince themselves. They have to come back to Jerry's world. Good luck with that!!!

It was a well deserved domination by7 the Boys. Lets hope they match their effort next week.

Agree 100%.
There was too much at stake for Philly NOT to come out fired up.
They had a crappy game plan and could not figure out the Offense before it was too late.
BIG WIN! Now lets focus on next week!

As far as I'm concerned today's game has very little bearing on next week's game anyway. Yeah, today was a big win for us any way you slice it. But I don't know how anyone will possibly find satisfaction in today's win if we lose next week.

No matter what the Eagles true gameplan was today if you don't respect this Eagles team and what they could do next week to turn it around, then you haven't been paying attention the last 10 years.

Am I afraid? No. But the real game is next week. I hope we're as ready, and even hungrier than today. We'll need to be.

Save all the "we're flat out better" talk, until we prove it next week.

I am not taking their track record from them...but it is CRAZY to suggest Philly did not want to win this game. They would have had a BYE had the WON.

The best part of the game was Maclin running down on Philly's last attempt to snap the shutout, and he was watching out for Hamlin halfway into his route instead of looking for the ball.

This is a no spin zone. Of course the Eagles tried to win. We just dominated them. And there is no way this game isn't in their heads plus a lot of what ifs. Philly got their *** handed to them.

During the game it was mentioned that Philly has the second youngest team in the league. I want to see how these young guys play next week after getting spanked today. I hope this game puts doubts in their mind next week.
