Twitter: This sounds encouraging

At the risk of sounding like a Zeke-hater (I am not), I can't help feel a bit hollow thinking the Cowboys appear to have capitulated so quickly.

I guess we wait on the contract details

This is why Hurns was released. They needed that 5 million $$$ for Zeke's new deal.

They've probably been talking for at least a week or two.

Why does he need to do that?

He still has years on his contract, either the contract means something or it doesn’t.
Right now it meaning something to players is becoming a challenged premise.

Seems a bit like the pot calling the kettle black since you are the one whining here, and apparently doing so because of some other beef you had with him in some other thread besides this one.
Stay out of it. Let them two fight it out!!!:popcorn:

The cowboys should honor their original contract with Hurns I mean after all he did sign a 2 year deal..... err nvm
They did.

Every contract a player signs has stipulations that the team can release the player and the player is only entitled to the guaranteed portion of the contract. The players know this before they sign it.

Has a player ever sued a team for breach of contract because they were cut? No. And that's because it's all part of the contract.

lmao at the guy who said, "if I see a post I just pass it up and don't respond" but then responds to every post in the thread.
This post is so annoying I don’t think I’ll respond to it ...

The funniest posts are the ones where one poster is admonishing another for posting material that had already been posted....

"Didn't you read the previous posts?"

I mean, I could certainly understand why a person wouldn't bother reading the entire thread before posting. That would force him to sift through the pages and pages of pointless bickering, nitpicking, insults, personal attacks, childish responses, and arrogant self righteousness.

Let's focus on the subject and this single most important common trait among us....we are all Cowboy fans.

Which means.....the real problem is we are all completely 100% right .....

If he "needs" to honor the contract then why is he sitting out for a new deal?
Why are we still pretending that these contracts mean anything more than a general framework for either side?

Why are so many regular people choosing to side with the billionaires over the millionaires?

Another Zeke thread. How original.

Perhaps people who has significant news don't want to bury that news 11 pages deep in a thread most stopped reading two days ago.

If this was such a pain in the butt for you, why did you.

1. Open it?

2. Take the time to post in it?

We all have choices here, to ignore the things we don't like.

I suppose someone could say about your comment.....look anothert post monitor complaining about new information on Zeke.

I bet we don't see him until we get back to Dallas...w/ about a week to until the season starts.

Don't think so, got that little matter of a neophyte OC that I am sure enters into the thinking for the FO. And the agent's thinking as well.

Agree, why wouldn’t every player who is good but feels underpaid just start pulling this? Even with four years left on a contract? The NBA is allowing a similar dangerous precedent with players demanding trades with 2 and more years left on a contract....utter chaos with owners losing control.
