Twitter: This sounds encouraging

The cowboys should honor their original contract with Hurns I mean after all he did sign a 2 year deal..... err nvm

In general I side with players and against mgmt/ownership but this isn’t quite the same. Hurns still made money out of being released and can now go play elsewhere and offset the money he hasn’t earned yet. Dallas can’t really recoup or replace Zeke. I do agree though players should have some sort of mechanism to get out of a contract they’ve outperformed. Not by holding out though (imo)

Its all negotiable. But the thing is players get up front money when they sign - a portion of the contract paid that they haven’t yet earned by playing - so there are trade offs

Back tracking at it’s finest. Yet you still posted in here many times.
Bored. Started reading the Wheel of Time series and the first book moves at a glacial pace. Hoping the second picks it up a bit.

Sorry, I’m not clinging to every post you make, so I missed that. Maybe you should take the same approach with Rockport. Besides, obviously most people missed it buried in some other thread
Apology accepted.

I liked the 1st book, but you're right. It drags a bit.
Haven't read that in a couple months of Sundays!

Maybe LVE should hold out too...

He’s not being paid accurate value..

true, that’s a good point. I’d guess you could forfeit / repay it for the chance at an open market deal

Well that’s not surprising. Zeke takes more punishment that any player on the team. The other players know this and believe me the other players feel he should get paid. It’s team chemistry. You just look at it from a Madden 2019 point of view.

Lol

I wonder if Stephen was looking at it from a Madden point of view when he didn’t resign DeMarco.

I like it! Wheel of Time moving at a glacial place and a couple months of Sunday's applied.

Damn me, 408, but if Rocky hadn't started this thread, we would have missed this.

Define open market deal

free agency. Meaning they could terminate the contract as is the same way players can be cut. Then be free to sign a new contract of their choosing

I know you’re just making a point, but I think rookie deals can’t be modified til yr 3 or something to that effect
Just saw something on that and didn't realize that existed but the way I read it, even the club couldn't do a new one until that 3rd year has passed. So KC couldn't extend Mahomes, if they wanted to until next year. LVE has to wait until after the 2020 season because they will most likely option him as they did Elliott.
