This Sunday is a fork in the road for Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett
https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/201...boys-head-coach-jason-garrett-ezekiel-elliott

Jason Garrett is the reigning Coach of the Year. This is an honor that was well-deserved after he navigated the Dallas Cowboys through a hectic, sometimes dramatic, 2016 season that culminated in 13 regular season wins. It bought Garrett some currency with his detractors. He’d finally done it, they said.

This season was supposed to be about Jason Garrett’s Dallas Cowboys taking the next step. A franchise quarterback, all-world running back, and the best offensive line in football figured to finally get defensive help. It was all coming together. It had shades of the 2015 season for the Cowboys, when they looked to build upon an NFC East Championship (Garrett’s first) and a should-have-been-Dez-catch moment that separated them from the NFC Championship Game...

...Who will Jason Garrett be Sunday night when the triple zeroes strike the game clock? The same old day-by-day apologist that is afforded a pardon of a particular variety, or the Dallas Cowboys head coach that defeated the odds and found a way to win the game all by himself? We’re about to find out.

I’m pretty sure that if you are the reigning Coach of the Year in the middle of a long term contract (with Jerry, to boot) then it’s not really all that big of a fork.

its not and we all know it. only the media thinks its fooling us. regardless what happens JG is still the coach and the circus continues.

You might be able to stick a fork into the Cowboys (chances of making the playoffs) after this game, but this will not affect JG's status...

Zeke, Lee, smith injuries built in excuse for jerry and Jason. Other staff will get fired first.

I would have him put the players in the best position to do those things.

regardless if the lose sunday and win7 or 9 games garrett has his built in excuse so no he is not in trouble but if they keep losing there will be lots of pressure because romo is not around to take the blame any more and dak is to early in his carreer to get much blame and the fans and national media will want someone to blame some other coach will be the one to take the fall

Hey, it's the weekly 'this game will tell us everything' declaration.

Just curious as I don't think this will happen this week, unfortunately, but curious all the same.

What are you going to do if Wentz plays like hot garbage and gets beat down by this Cowboys team? You'll probably lose your mind and wind up in some very dark places at the sight of your favorite player and team being beaten by the Cowboys.

If Garrett has progressed as a coach you would expect us to have a great game plan and be a tough out on Sunday. Less than that and you really have to think these coaches just don't get it.

Even if he wins Sunday you all will not give him credit ..

For you, he is the problem when we lose

He is the problem, or one of the main problems. He has gone from offensive Co. To head coach - calling plays, to just walk around head coach. Jerry has said that he has been learning on the job - for 7 years now.
Bad clock managment for years, bad situational football, major, major lack of offensive and defensive adjustments.
Yes, the players play but at some point he has to make a difference. Game planning and adjustments are on the head coach and then trickle down.
When is the same ol same ol just not good enough ?
