This team still misses Darren Woodson

Ever since he left this team. They have not found a replace for him. He was the heart and soul of the entire team. Last night performance just prove that this team has a bunch of followers no real leaders. Until, we find that player, this team will never be a good.

I agree with that. If you watch videos from the 2003 defense, you see Woodson a lot. Losing him really hurt.

Please don't compare Roy to Woody. Woody would support the run and would always cover the slot WR's on nickel situation. Darren Woodson was a complete safety. Roy Williams is a Linebacker playing as a safety.

Agreed. As much as I like RW against the run, as a whole, he can't hold Darrens' jock, Frank quitely.

I know alot fans love Roy Williams. But is it to much to ask a safety to be able to cover a T.E or WR on a consitent bases. He's one of the highest paid player on the team. He need to show up every game and be the best player on the defence.

of course not...but it would solve 1 big one in the secondary. Woodson was not only a big hitter like Roy (no, not as big), but he was one of the best cover safeties we've ever had...he usually covered the slot receiver 1-1....our SS has trouble covering backs and TE's.

IN his prime, we'd play Roy in the box and Woodson would be a great FS.

RW isn't no DW. Please stop comparing. Roy Williams is my favorite player on the team but he isn't no Darren Woodson. Darren knew how to cover.

I miss the Darren Woodson and Roy Williams tandem. Every since Roy Williams moved from Free Safety to Strong Safety the Cowboys have been getting dogged. I think that the Cowboys should just move Roy Williams back to free safety and get either keith davis or Abraham Elam to play strong safety or just start at free safety.

I feel as if Pat Watkins is going through a learning curve right now that could be correct with some good coaching.

Woodson was awesome. Our QB of the defence. Offences had to check where DW was (either in the box or covering the slot).

As much as I love Woody, keep in mind that he also was a part of some awful, awful defensive performances. Woody is not the difference on this team.

Yes he was great player and complete proffessional, but in reality he was never much of a game changer. Made some great plays, no doubt about it, but not a consistent game changer. The TD to Burress was NOT Roy's fault. The play to Shockey, yes. But name me one DB or LB in the NFC East that Shockey hasn't done that to. Roy did not have a good game last night. In fact, the entire defense sucked. Darren Woodson wouldn't have changed one bit of it.
