Every off season brings its own new issues. We lose players to free agency and those need to be replaced as well as filling the holes and gaps of weaknesses. Sometimes wekneses become more weak. Like last year it was RB, and turned out QB. But that was unknown at the time just how bad.

This year back up QB, but also turned out DE. Still,need a future bell cow RB IMO.
Still the ongoing issues with DB's and LB depth.

Not a one year fix for what? A perfect roster? You don't need that or anything close to that to compete anymore. A pretty flawed Cowboys team was robbed of an opportunity to play in the Championship game two years ago.

You plug holes in free agency. What holes have we addressed? Only Thornton. That was very nice but instead of re-signing your blocking TE when you just invested a pick in one and bringing back JAGs like Wilber and Dunbar I'd have liked to have seen another hole or two filled.

Remember how frantic teams were when we let go of Ware/Hatcher in the same offseason couple that with a much worse Romo injury? I remember USA Today 1-15 predictions.
