I used to live in The Big Easy for a number of years, and while New Orleans sports fans are generally narrow-minded, dumb, and VERY ordinary(outside of the Saints, LSU, and Tulane-they don't know squat about anything else), this, like with 90% of Louisiana(other than Shreveport and Lake Charles) is VERY anti-Cowboys country. I used to get alot of flack over the years when they stunk it up/choked. Thankfully, don't live there anymore, but it would have been at its WORST for me over the last week.

For those that live in other football cities, how are the citizens treating you?

In Milwaukee, I've overheard a bunch of people saying they are glad the Giants won because they didn't want to face us.

But then again, they also seem to think they have a chance at beating the Greatest Team of All Time in the Super Bowl as well....

We are like the Albania of the Soviet bloc, the Uruguay of S America, the Switzerlan...no, bad example; the North Korea of Asia.
Nonetheless we consider ourselves separate but better than the rest of yourn.
Here, nobody sasses the Cowboys without a knuckle sandwich.
So fart, ever body is laying off the Cowboys. They'd better!

Living here in northeastern Louisiana, I can honestly say that percentage is off. It's more like 50% Cowboys, 40% Saints and 10% Titans, Texans, etc. here. As far as flack is concerned, those who know me personally and understandably gave me a LOT of space this week. For that I thank them. I've only had four or five discussions with others who figured out that I was a Cowboys fan from seeing me wear a Dallas cap or something this week and those have been very short and to the point. I don't kid around with my fanhood and take it very seriously when others believe they can chide me about it and 'get away' with it.

Now that I think of it, it's kinda funny. :)

I live in TN and I have gotten a lot of sympathy. This I can say is a first. I normally get a lot of needling and flack but not this time. Most people have gone out of their way to say they wanted to see the Cowboys win. I have no clue as to why this happened this time. Live long enough and see everything I guess.

In live in far west texas and this is very much Cowboys country, but it's amazing how many people you see wearing Giants, Packers and Patriots attire this week (all of it very fresh from the store looking hehe)

But this is Cowboys country. It's not unusual for somebody to see me wearing my cap and say (or more often, yell) "How 'bout them Cowboys!?!" :)

I can't imagine how bad some folks get it from friends/co-workers elsewhere

Seattle fans are too disappointed with the Hawks to really care about any other team.

The delusional talk radio guys here are lamenting that if not for a "break" here and there, they'd be hosting the NFC Championship Game :banghead:

Here in Central N.Y. it's getting to be unbearable.
After The Boys beat G.B. I was told that The Cowboys are the best in the NFC . Now according to the Gint fans around here Their the best team in the NFC Elly is the second coming and we Suck.

I guess I know where their coming from ,and they may have a point ,but it doesn't make it any easier to listen too.

I absolutely hate the gints, more than the forskins or iggles, but if they get to the SB , by going thru T.B. Dallas and G.B., in a way I guess they deserve it .

You'll have to excuse me now I have to go:puke: and wash my mouth out with soap.:(:banghead:

I live in Vegas. Dallas is a favorite here so there is support for the most part. Even with that said, I don't even breach the subject. For whatever reason, I just can't stomach this one. 13-3 down the toilet......................................... I have all my TVs off this weekend. I don't care about the other teams or the scores. If the teams went on a strike today, that would be a good thing...

At this point last year, I was over the bobbled snap. But if I think football right now I get a sick feeling.

The only thing that keeps my football sanity in check is that Dallas is close. Not close to being a contender. Close to dominating. We're one good offseason from dominating everyone.......including the Pats. The Patriots better win it now because this will be the last one for them for a while.

TOP CB (Mike Jenkins, Antoine Cason, Asante Samuels)
GOOD RB to compliment Barber (Ray Rice, Felix Jones)
YOUNG electrifying WR to replace Glenn (Malcolm Kelly, Berrian, Dehaun Jackson)
ONE MORE PASS RUSHER (Terrell Suggs)

If we do those things, it's time to draw a line in the sand....

I grew up in Central Jersey (Giant fans)

Now I live in South Jersey (Eagle fans).

Throw in a mixture of Commander fans throughout Jersey.

Sooo, yes, I have taken a ****load flack.

Well I know a few Giants fans who were a bit happy...they didn't gloat or anything, didn't even bring it up till I did. They do contend that Ware was offsides, even though I continue to say he was onsides.

I know a few Patriots fans...I claim they are bandwagoners, but they flat out deny it. One of em, couldn't even name 3 players off the 85 SB team that he says he was a fan of. I threw down 3 names off that team with ease......Fryar, Grogan, Tippett.

Honestly down here in SA, as soon as the Cowboys lost, we switched right over to the Spurs and have been bitter about the poor Spurs play as of late.

Speak for yourself. Do you know how us Cowboy fans would have been treated if we lost to the Skins in the divisional. Oh that would have been absolutely terrible for us.

It's still terrible here. What kills me is that Foreskins forget that they got BLOWN OUT.

I haven't gotten much flack about at work myself. Maybe because 75% of the people I work with are Cowboy fans. But the little 25%, which are Skin fans, have actually kept quiet this week. Now. I haven't turned on any sports station at all for obvious reasons.

Personally-while watching our NFCE opponents lose in the reg season gives me alot of happiness(of course, for the reason being that we gain on them in the standings), when it comes to playoff time, I don't exactly act like Skins/Giants/Eagles fans when their team loses. Why? Quite simply-especially if we fall short, their losses won't exactly make our own pain go away. So if the Giants lose, or get smacked this weekend, honestly, I could care less.

Which is why I find it surprising how seeing how Skins and Eagles fans think us choking in the playoffs was THEIR Super Bowl, especially how one got blown out in the playoffs, while the other MISSED the playoffs.
