As crazy as it sounds what if the Eagles lose to Green Bay and Detroit before we play the Raiders on Monday night in two weeks………
There is a lot to infer from that. But I don't want to take another benching.Explain? He thinks that Cooper Rush is a good qb.
For two yearsdisagree, you need impact starters and we just added one.
Of course it won't fix the problem. The problem lies in havng so many players that aren't of NFL caliber. It's foolish for any of us to have expectations to resolve our many problems in one year or even two, for that matter. It won't fix the problem.
We know how this story always ends.As crazy as it sounds what if the Eagles lose to Green Bay and Detroit before we play the Raiders on Monday night in two weeks………
Lol lol rightWe got a new MIKE who plays his fits (has football IQ) and top end run stopping DT. Plus, Overshown should be out there. That's a majorly upgraded front 7 if you're being conservative.
Now, if Jeanty tears it up after the bye, we need to run Eberflus out of town. He'll be out of excuses.
Your jealous awwNo, it really isn't.
Williams primary plays LDT, so he is going to be your primary run side DT. There is also possibility of sliding him to RDT with Clark at LDT and having a bigger DT group that can still get up field. It will be fun seeing how they work this DT group. If it works out this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see them do something to keep Clark at a lower cap number-These 2 trades could be a vote of confidence in Eberflus and his scheme. Many believe Williams fits that Seattle up the field 4-3 DT. Wilson is an experience true MLB who knows his fits in a zone scheme. Wilson may have lost a step, but he does possess strong instincts and size for the position. Lack of instincts has been an issue for both Murray and James.
-It will be interesting how they employ these three DT's. We might see Osa more as a pass rusher and Clark playing more against the run. Keep in mind, Eberflus scheme basically play two 3T's and doesn't use a traditional 1T. A rotation of these three plus Thomas is very good and deep. We could also see some lineups with all three on the field at the same time. Clark/Osa could play some end in a pinch.
-I truly believe these 2 moves aren't just for this season, but are for the next few years. Both players have two more years left on their contracts, this runs with the timeline of three 1st rd picks forthcoming in the next two seasons.
-Our front 7 improved in a big way, but the defense still has a lot of holes that need to be addressed: edge rusher, linebacker, corner, safety. A lot will depend upon how Overshown/Revel look the rest of the season.
-We should be all happy, these trades are like free agent signings which we never do. One is elite, other one isn't a bottom of the barrel type of player by any means. This might tells us, they are indeed using those cap funds created in the Parsons trade, where they may even sign a big fa next offseason. They could still go out and sign a Hendrickson as a fa.
-I see many think we overpaid for Williams, they paid market value for a top 5 DT, which he certainly is. These type of players rarely become available as these interior rushers are very hard to find. Pretty sure if Simmons was available, it would of been a similar price tag and he wants a new contract.
Yeah it’s certainly odd to hear but it’s one of those comments that kinda sticks out because it’s so weird. I haven’t watched the tape on Wilson to agree or disagree with the comment, but living just outside of Cincinnati myself I’ve heard it a couple times now.I saw that posted on their fan forum using almost the exact wording. Personally, I found it to be a nonsensical comment. And nobody followed up with support.
A professional linebacker has lost his game because he couldn’t use a hip drop anymore and was unable to adjust, while everyone else in the NFL seems to have adjusted just fine.
Isn't that part of Smiths fake measurablesWent to a Jets forum and there are several actually excited about getting Mazi Smith. Here is what one posted:
6'3 340lb'er that ran a sub 7 second 3 cone at 330 at the combine???
THAT is exactly what I want in a run stuffing DT.
Exactly. Any moves should be geared towards our next chance to rebuild with an actual new identity, which is once the Dak era finally ends and we can roll the dice with a highly drafted QB. These moves don't support that. I don't think Jerry even has a strategy beyond what you said.it doesnt fix this year, and next year will be a slew of new problems.
this was to keep the Cowboys in the medias mouth and thats it. its about the empire, not the team.
Boy are they in for a surprise.Went to a Jets forum and there are several actually excited about getting Mazi Smith. Here is what one posted:

I agree, they will lower Clark's cap number for next season. Think limiting his snaps might be best to have him play at a high level. I do think him and Williams starting makes a ton of sense as Osa is the worse run defender out of the three. Hearing Osa's reaction yesterday tells me he isn't happy about the deal. Time for him to step up his game and live up to that contract or ship him out!Williams primary plays LDT, so he is going to be your primary run side DT. Of course.......the trade show concerns they STILL have about the position he is paid to fill. BTW.....can he play DE? I do wonder if limiting Osa's exposure to the run may make him more effective against the runI agree, they will lower Clark's cap number for next season. It will be interesting to see how Eberflus and Whitecotte use the three. Schott did mention the 5 man line last week, perhaps we will see their version of the 3-4 front.I do wonder if limiting Osa's exposure to the run may make him more effective against the run
This. It's not a band-aid. Looking at 2026 and 2027 too-These 2 trades could be a vote of confidence in Eberflus and his scheme. Many believe Williams fits that Seattle up the field 4-3 DT.
