Thoughts from the scrimmage and going into the HOF game?

Both the OL and DL for the most part. When watching pre season I look for the individual especially the young player to see who is making an impact. When it comes to 1st unit I just want to see them operate effectively as a group be it offense or defense then get out of there injury free

The first team block was nice the 2nd and 3rd team was garbage however Dunbar did really well despite piss poor blocking

I am looking forward to seeing Dunbar in extended action. We all know we will need a backup RB at some point. I hope he shows as well as he has in camp.
I may be in the minority, but I will be watching Tyron and Doug Free very closely. I know the interior OL is the big issue, but if these two can man the edges solo, it makes interior work much easier.
Beyond that, I will be watching the safeties very closely. I know it's early, but I would really like someone to start separating themselves. By all account Wilcox is a hitter, but can he cover and play the back third? Matt Johnson is an enigma at this point. Can Church return to where he was the beginning of last season?

I will be watching the OL for sure. IMHO we have two starters, Smith and Fredericks. Everyone else needs to play for a spot on the first team. Next I will be watching the defensive backs and the overall new defensive philosophy. Turnovers should be way better this year, and have we finally found a safety? After that I'll move to Escobar and WIlliams. I think they both can be very good and contribute a lot this year. I don't care about the RB's. Who's Murray's backup is my only question. Dunbar or Randle?
Here is my pet I'll be watching all pre season long. I really liked watching Tanney yesterday...His pocket pressence, his arm, his control...I mean, I REALLLLY liked him....Could be a great find. Add that to the fact that I hate Orton and I might have what some folks in here call an agenda...It will be an agenda to remind everyone how bad Orton has looked and been in his career and that this new kid looks very good in only one week.
