1) if you thought Bledsoe was bad, you should have seen Byron Leftwich...he finished 3/7 and was sacked 4 or 5 times...looked totally lost while we were watching

2) the Commanders offense is still awful...I dont think they scored while their 1st team was in, and Carolina was playing alot of backups after the first couple series...S Moss and Patten only caught 1 or 2 passes combined...nothing downfield either

3) Deion Sanders had another sack (he had a couple the previous week in a scrimmage vs Wash) and forced Vick to fumble (which the Ravens recovered)...Vick got creamed 2 or 3 times by the Ravens defense and had no clue where the rush was coming from...the Ravens new D looked pretty good

4) its gonna be a L O N G yr for Alex Smith...I really hope he's starting for SF when we play them

5) didnt see alot of the Giants/Browns game, but Manning looked decent while he was in there and threw 1 td...one thing I did see is the Browns run defense was absolutely horrible, the Giants were ripping off all kinds og gains up the middle...I mention this because they are going with the 3-4 as well, but we had no problem stuffing the run vs the Cards even though we were missing two important DL's in Ferguson and Spears

I think Dallas 1st string offense look poor, not just Bledsoe but the 1st unit as an entire unit. I though both of the young QB's did a decent job nothing great but decent.
Thompson looked very good running the ball even though it was aginst the cards 3rd unit. Crowder looked very good on special teams including blocking a punt even though the punt rush was not on. Defensively I like the individual work from the CB saw some very good man on man coverage but did make some mistakes in the zone defense. As for the D-line they are still not getting the pass rush going but did a very good job aginst the run. All in all this team has a lot of work to do before the start of this season. Next game Seattle and I do expect a better outing from this team

Well to be fair about it, the Cards were missing 1 or 2 (maybe even 3) of their starting OL as well. Plus, we stayed in the 3-4 a few times even when we should of gone to our nickel D. It should be easy to stop the run when you're in your base D while facing a "Pass formation".

I think we'll get a better idea of how our D is next week vs the Seahawks. If I remember correcly they run a lot of 2 TEs sets so it should be "Mano a Mano" for our defense. I wanna see Ware against their LT too.

True but a good sign was guys like Ellis and Glover were not being over whelmed they held up very nice against the run something many were saying Ellis could not do in the 3-4 Ellis showed he can play inside against bigger lineman. Granted this is just 1 game and he has to show it every week but for the 1st time running this style of defense this team did do a good job of playing the run.

I only watched the 1st half of 2 other non-Cowboys game, my thoughts:

NYJ/DET: Jets 1st team pass rush was very impressive, considering they were w/o Abraham. Harrington looked great (9/9 100yds). No matter who plays QB they have some real weapons at WR (duh). Kevin Jones had a few nice runs, had one big loss but not his fault as 2 guys met him in the backfield (sounds familiar)

KC/MIN: KC's 1st team defense looked pretty bad. Just seems like they are lacking in their DL but ok in their back 7. Vikes offense is pretty good, even w/o Moss. Same for KC's 1st team offense which was very efficient. For all the defensive upgrades both teams made it still looked like the kind of game you would expect from each teams starters: lotsa offense, not much defense.
