It is looking more and more that the Raiders will end up releasing Jerry Porter. Does anyone here feel he would be a good fit in Dallas in the event of Glenn not returning?

Kinda old. Never been overly productive. He would be a solid #2 for the length of his contract, but that might not be worth the price he'll command.

Why would Glenn not come back?

As for Porter, not really under any circumstances would I want him around. He thinks he's the ****, but he's never actually been said ****. He muses around for two months, and is unproductive, and then shows up once his team's eliminated and declares himself the greatest. Not really concerned with him being a jerk, as his current situation is more out of loyalty to Norv than anything - I just don't think he's any good.

I'm not sure how much he can command given the situation last season. He is a 7 year vet and 29 years old. I admit I would rather try and keep Glenn but the cost could be a factor for the Cowboys

I hope we can keep Glenn as well but he will be entering his 12 season and will be due a 5 mill roster bonus. Given the fact that TO will also be due a simular bonus it very well could hinder the Cowboys bringing Glenn back

With the cap the way it is, there may be a few teams with a need at WR that will be willing to overpay him.

I don't recall hearing anything negative about him until the past couple of seasons.

Could he have just been frustrated with the state of the union in Oakland ?

Maybe a change of scenary would do him good, ... and a QB that can get the receivers the ball.

I would rather keep Glenn and then draft or FA for the future at WR. I haven't seen any signs of Glenn slowing down yet.

You were a big fan of Slam TO all season because he was a distraction and he was a divisive force. Yet you want a player that fits the same things that made you not like in TO. Is it because his antics were not associated with the initials TO. Amazing:rolleyes:

I asked a question to poster about their opinion of Porter, please show me where I said we should sign him? I wanted peoples view points. So you can put your rolling eyes back in your head.

Porters end results haven't been spectacular enough for me to take a flier on him. I would rather give Austin and Hurd a chance before him.

Unless Porter's opinion changed about TO, I don't see him coming to Dallas. I remember him interviewing on ESPN a year ago and the reported asked him would he like TO on his team and Porter didn't even let finish the question and said, "Hell NO!"

I thought that Randy Moss said that. If Porter said it too, then it's a good thing TO didn't end up there.

Yeah... I do... was waiting for you to come around LOL

He aint worth the trouble. Given his stats and disposition... I cant see how he can add anything to the team.... not more than Glenn.

24 TD's in 7 seasons? MB3 almost reached that in one season LOL
