- Ben Roethlisberger and Santonio Holmes start the season where they left off – throwing and catching touchdowns.
- Titans (four sacks) got pressure except when they needed it most.
- The Steelers run game won’t scare anyone.
- Titans OL Dave Stewart had a tough night.
- From the “Can’t Understand Department”: three straight Kerry Collins passes with less than two minutes in the game.
- Troy Polamalu (incredible catch) just aint human.
- But his knee is.
- Tough break for the Steelers.
- I’m starting to believe there’s something to this Madden curse.
- Hines Ward’s competitive nature got the best of him.
- No harm, no foul.
- Still the best blocking receiver in the game.
- Jake Delhomme picking up (four INTs) up where he left off last season.
- Did he and Jay Cutler have some pregame counseling session or something?
- Panthers? Quarterback? 1st round draft?
- Anyone questioning the wisdom of the Eagles signing Vick now?
- Someone needs to remind McNabb he’s not Vick, not this late in his career.
- Somewhere in a quiet place Josh McDaniel and Pat Bowlen must be laughing.
- Kyle Orton 1, Jay Culter 0.
- What the heck was the Bears punt snapper thinking?
- Yo Adrian? Go Adrian.
- Brett Favre has a new BFF.
- That poor cornerback who Peterson just sat down with a forearm will have nightmares for a few days.
- Brady Quinn? Derek Anderson? Really didn’t matter.
- New team, same Mangini.
- Yes, the Rams are that bad.
- The term “shut down corner” is overused. Not for Darrelle Revis, though.
- Andre Johnson was a non-factor.
- Great weekend for young USC quarterbacks.
- Okay, maybe it isn’t too early to start Mark Sanchez.
- Right place at Right Time award: Brandon Stokley.
- You gotta feel for Marvin Lewis and Carson Palmer. They deserve better.
- It’s September, it’s Romo, it’s a Cowboys win.
- Cowboys three receivers – 8 catches, 280 plus yards, and, more importantly no temper tantrums.
- T.O. Who?
- Aren’t you supposed to be Wade Phillips, defensive guru?
- Good to see the oft-injured Cadillac Williams off and running.
- Did the Bucs field a secondary Sunday?
- Did the Skins field an offensive line?
- Jason Campbell needs a mental Timex in his head, especially playing against the Giants pass rush.
- You think the Commanders regret not making a move for Sanchez?
- Lions … 18 and counting.
- Would the track team that stole the Saints uniform please report to the front office?
- Drew making TD throws look like a Brees.
- Who is Michael Bell?
- The Lions definitely know.
- Come Tuesday, expect him to be on a whole lot of fantasy football teams.
- From the “I’m Back” department: Jeremy Shockey and Osi Umenyiora.
- I was expecting an explosion from Baltimore’s defense not offense.
- Maybe KC won’t be as bad as we thought this year.
- Cardinals back to their mediocre ways.
- You gotta like what Mike Singletary brings to the 49ers.
- Gore didn’t have a lot of yards, but he made the most of his opportunities.
- I don’t know if Kurt Warner will make it through the season.
- Two best catches of the day came in the Miami-Atlanta game.
- Tony Gonzalez continues to prove he has hands of glue.
- Greg Camarillo’s leg catch.
- Mike Peterson, a nice pick-up by the Falcons.
- So much for Anthony Gonzalez taking over for Marvin Harrison.
- Reggie Wayne might not need any help anyway.
- Colts win a defensive battle?
- The Jags need a weapon other than Maurice Jones-Drew.
- Milk carton candidates: Reggie Bush and Felix Jones.
- Their absence from their offenses was overshadowed by their teams’ wins.
- The Rams are now on the clock.

All comments, corrections and additions are welcomed. :)

I get a little nauseated listening to annoucners who are constantly second guessing athletes for their actions on the field. Hines Ward was playing in a tie game and he was trying to score a touchdown when a fluke happened. But Collinsworth is talking about how he should have taken a knee to set up a game winning FG. And if he had taken a knee and then a fluke happens and they miss the FG, Collinsworth would be saying "why did he take a knee? Why didn't he just try to score?"

There isn't a single player in the NFL that would not be fighting for a TD in that same situation - and don't give me the Brian Westbrook play because Brian Westbrook's team was actually winning in the instance where he took his knee, so that was a different situation.
