Ok... here are my thoughts on Free Agency and our lack of involvement thus far....

I look at the Yankees of the mid 90's to 2000

They won 4 WS in 5 years with either small time free agents or free agents that were in the twilight of their career(contrary to the "they buy WS" - they dont)

for the most part the Yankees won with their young 'uns sprinkled with some wiley, hungry veterans.... since the last WS victory in 2000..... the Yankees have been buying BIG TIME Free Agents somewhat in their prime.... and have LOST TWO World Series.... IN SUMMARY: Buying ALL BIG NAMES doesnt work... ask Yankees... ask Commanders...

so it would seem that BP is going the route of the Yankees "former" method as opposed to the "latter"....

I just hope it works....

LOL. Not that I disagree, but I find it HILARIOUS this comes from a guy with TO in a dallas jersey in his signature.

LOL
T.O. falls under the "free agents that were in the twilight of their career"
and to assume that I meant it EXACTLY as the Yankees did is unrealistic...
I dont want to buy 5 or 6 big name free agents... just one or two.... my variation on the post

;)
