We need next time to run the ball more and pressure Brady more.

I guess you did not notice we were leading them in the 3rd qtr. It was only in the 4th that our D, gassed, collapsed. Our Offense did not help the D today much as regards TOP.

very true....NE had a huge edge in the first half.....thanks to those first 3 possessions of ours.....and then the D scored the TD and had to go right back out there.

I am also upset that it seems like NE gets mad love from the refs. Yes Dallas commits a lot of penalties, but the refs let NE get away with murder. I am sorry, but if Fasano committed offensive PI, then so did Moss in the end zone when they mistakenly called it on Newman....it should have been Reeves. However, Reeves was just standing there and Moss ran through him. Definitely should have been offensive PI. Also, I noticed that the RT for NE would leave before the snap quite often, and no whistle. I'm not blaming the refs by any means, just saying that NE gets away with a lot more than every other team in the league.

You are soooo right about this. I told my Daddy, that I swear the league is setting up the showdown between NE and Indy. I'm sick of the holding that the pats got away with, but I steill think we should not have collapsed, just like the end of last year, only this is the middle of the season...

Another thing this game proves is that we need to draft defense first next year.
We have 8 1st rnd picks on this D and still can't stop a good team. AWhat good will 2 more do??? We need better coaches or ownership or something, but w/ 8 1st rounders we should never give up a TD, let alone lose...

Most of those guys are not Wade's picks his 3-4 is different from Parcells 3-4.

Calm down it's one game not the Super Bowl.:shoot6:

Yes, but the Cowboys came closer than any AFC team we've played so far, except technically the Browns.

So your comparing us to the crappy teams the pats played before they played the Boys?

What a back handed compliment.

We did, and then the refs intervened.

I appreciate the compliment, but it was a battle of attrition and when the 4th quarter rolled around we had nothing left. Nothing. We made a game of it for 3 quarters, but games aren't 3 quarters long.

oh please. don't blame the refs.

the pats beat us. admit that.

The NFL tells me the Pats also won 3 SBs too.

As a team, we've gotten much better. We can overcome pretty bad reffing against bad teams such as the Rams, or even against semi-good teams like the Bears.

Unfortunately, when it seems like you're consistently getting nailed for bad calls on critical plays - a hold on a third down conversion, an illegal shift on another, etc. - you know, some calls that can be classified as dubious, against a team that is very talented, you effectively are requiring your team to do the impossible. Convert again, but this time with a possible loss of yardage.

If you think NE doesn't hold on the OL as much as our OL, then you are fooling yourself. Yet, somehow they never get called for it, and if they do, it's that rare instance where "no one gives a crap" because it's not a critical play.

The Pats won. It will go down in the history books like their 3 SBs. But, don't think for one second the refs were non-biased or even close to being remotely fair in this game.

We were too concerned in not allowing Randy Moss to kill us with a big play, that we left two average receivers in Welker and Stallworth destroy us for almost 300 yards and 3 TD's.

Bad game plan.

No, its a great game plan. Its called taking their best players out of the game and making someone else beat you. And they did just that.

It also doesnt help we're missing our starting CB. That MAY have led to a little bit of their success.

There we go making excuse we should be able to win with out Henry he is not that good of a cb he is solid but we should still be able to win

I'm sorry, but at least Henry is somewhat aggressive. The guy will make a play on the ball. That's exactly what we needed all damn day when they kept running the same damn plays constantly. Someone needed to jump one of those and we never did.

I believe Henry would have done that.

And with Newman/Henry missing time, we're nonetheless 5-1.

Yes-we should make no excuses and be HAPPY.:)

I really like what I've seen from Reeves he could be a good CB in this league. But right now he's not good enough to shut down a Dante Stallworth. Especially when the other WR is Randy Moss.

I watched NE play a few games and knew they were gonna be tough for us to stop with Henry in there. Moss alway kills us even with Oakland he killed us. But they have a good offensive line they have a great QB. They have Stallworth who is real good. Wes Welker is a pest and Watson is a great TE. They will score a ton on everyone. They may be impossible to slow down when Maroney gets back just like we are tough to stop.

Losing Henry hurt no doubt about it. He would have made it a lot tougher for Stallworth and would have made the defense a bit easier on Welker.

One more thing we need to get back to is running the ball. We can't throw it as much as we have the last 2 games. We need to get back to the basics and run the ball. It won't be easy against a sound Minn defense this week but we may need to go back to the Parcels train of thought and force feed it a bit. We'll be able to afford it because even with the great Adrian Peterson, it's tough to run on this Dallas defense.

Reeves is a good young CB but we needed Henry today. Against all the receivers NE has Henry makes it easier to match up with. I feel if he is healthy and we play the Pats again they don't get the easy plays they got some today. I felt our safety coverage was actually good today even with all the yards.

We need Henry so that our three corners in nickel situations are Newman, Henry and Reeves, with Nate Jones on the bench. Other than the pass to Stallworth, Reeves played well. But Jones was beaten six times, including four third-down converions -- one of those for a TD.
