First of all I want to start off by saying we are 3-3 and 1-2 in the division. Not impressive at all.
2nd of all I want to say we are going to find out everything we need to know about our season this next sunday.
If we beat Carolina I believe we will go on a 3 game win streak and that would put us at 6-3. Not bad because after yesterday I believe at best we are a 10-6 team.
Thoughts on the game
First of all I want to say I appreciate Bledsoe and the job hes done but its time for a change.
We just cant get guys blocked up front and Romo gives us the mobility we need.
Did he make mistakes? Yes, but so does Bledsoe so give me the guy that at least has a chance of making our oline look better.
I like what I saw in Tony Romo. No I didn't like his last 2 turnovers and they were pretty bone headed but after we got down 19-7 he had to start forcing throws.
If Terrell Owens catches that ball on 4th & 2 it might have been a different game. Or if we come out in the 2nd half and Romo doesn't get that ball batted, and intercepted.
Jeremy Shockeys Touchdown made me sick. I've never bought into the whole Roy is bad in coverage but at least im listening to you guys now. Manning did have alllllll day to throw it though so I cant blame it tottally on Roy.
Demarcus Ware and Greg Ellis our beasts.
Pat Watkins just looks like a Rookie to me. Hes done a great job of getting himself into position to make a play but he just doesn't make the play. He had Plax smothered on that first TD but just let him catch it uncontested.
Our Oline played horrible and I think it has got to be one of the worst Olines in the league. They just cant figure out how to pick up the blitz.
Tony Romo..... I like his skills and I want to see more of them.
When we were able to run a offense I thought he looked really good. He made a few throws that were really nice and finally he got Jason Witten involved once again in the offense.
Also the blitz just wasn't working for the Giants when he was in there as well as it was against Bledsoe. Romo just screwed up on a couple throws. Im sure he will correct that.
All in all we sucked. Bottom line. We just dont look like a good team.
If we dont win this sunday then kiss our playoff hopes goodbye.
It is however a new era in Cowboys football with Tony Romo and if he cuts down on mistakes he may give us a dynamite spark that we need.
Or he just may be the dynamite spark we didn't need......
Im rooting for you Tony because your are only hope. For now and the future.
