Three Running Backs Dallas Could Look To Trade For

1. Montee Ball - Denver

A once highly touted runner out of Wisconsin, Ball has fallen out of favor in Denver in less than a year. Ball was projected to be the Broncos' starter and workhorse in 2014, but injuries and below-par play has lowered him on the depth chart. Ball currently sits behind C.J. Anderson and Ronnie Hillman and it's recently been reported that the team may listen to offers for Montee Ball.

Why would Dallas have interest here? Because the team had a lot of interest pre-draft in him and may believe that he could be productive again if placed into a similar scheme that he ran at Wisconsin.

Friendly reminder that the #Cowboys had Montee Ball ranked as their #41st player in the 2013 NFL Draft. Player to watch for during cuts.

My guess is that Ball stays in Denver for one last shot, but it wouldn't shock me to hear that Dallas called about Ball in the next few days.

Interesting that they have Bernard listed

If they really are dangling him, Dallas was very high on him

That'd shock me if Gio Bernard was available.

Anyway, barring some sort of serious injury to Randle or DMC, I don't see Dallas trading for anyone. hat's not to say they won't bring players in if they're released.

Do any of these guys excel at pass blocking? If not, we won't be interested.

I just don't see this Ball deal. The writer said in a similar scheme to what he ran in Wisconson, and yet he is Denver with Kubiak who runs the same ZBS we do and 4th on the depth chart. I do like him better than Dunbar however.

I don't see that at all.
He's their clear starter and one of the few projected bell cow backs in the league

Only thing I can see is that he is on the last year of his deal and probably wont part with him for less then a 3rd. Not a great team so they may value 4 years of a 3rd round pick iver 1 year of a 1,000 yard rusher

I see your point.
But, right or wrong, Miami considers themselves as contenders, at the very least for the playoffs, but maybe more.

Would love to have Miller though.
