*Sept. 9 vs. the Giants at Texas Stadium.

*Sept. 23 @ Chicago.

*Oct. 14 vs. New England @ Texas Stadium.

Our first game at home vs. the Giants is a game the Cowboys need. Not only is it important to start the season with a win to gain some confidence, but to also gain momentum against a divisional foe.

Chicago has been deemed the NFC favorites to make it back to the Super Bowl. This will be a big litmus test for the Cowboys. Win this game on the road, and the NFL will be buzzing about the Cowboys' chances to make a run at a World Championship.

New England is a no brainer. Beat the infamous Belichick and his upgraded crew of superstars who know how to gameplan for their opponent, and the Cowboys will be well on their way to gaining mucho respect throughout the NFL fraternity, and possibly on their way to a nice run for that elusive 6th ring if there is no second half of the season meltdown.

If this team is to have serious playoff aspirations they damn sure better beat a mediocre-at-best Giants team at home. Chicago still has Grossman penciled in as their starting QB, so we'll definitely have a chance to win that one. To beat the Patriots, even in Texas Stadium, is going to take a monumental effort that I'm not sure we're capable of yet.

I'll say we go 2-1 in those games with the loss coming to Brady & Company.

If we play like we did before our meltdown last year there is no team we can't beat. Keep in mind we BEAT the WORLD CHAMPION COLTS last year when they were UNDEFEATED if I remember correctly. If we play like we did after we melted down, then our chances are slim.

I could care less who we beat before the bye. IN fact i could care less who we beat in the first 10 games. None of that matters. IT's what we do in the last 6 games. I've seen us beat some great teams in the first 10 weeks of the season, only to crap out, at the end. If we have a winning record in the last 6 games. THen we are on our way to a playoff run. If we don't, then get ready for either a early exit, or a no show at all

It doesn't matter if we win the last 6 games of the season if we don't win more then half of the first 10 games.

As far as I'm concerned all the games on the schedule are statement games because if you're facing a inferior team then you're supposed to dominate them. When you're going against a talented team you're supposed to show what you have..

we will smash the g-men, defeat the bears, and lose to brady

Moss is a Cowboy killer and always seems to come alive at Texas Stadium. I think we take the first two and loose to Moss and Brady...

Actually, that would put us at 11-5 with a 6 game winning streak to close out the regular season and probably atop our division. I'll take that in a heartbeart considering our recent disappointing endings.

I can see us going 2-1 in these three games I have listed. The Patriots probably being the best of the three.

Although, Chicago on the road will be very tough because of their defense and homefield. The Bear's defense didn't look so great in the Super Bowl, but during the regular season, they're all-world.

If our upgraded O-line can keep the pressure off of Tony Romo, then we have a good shot at taking the Bears at Soldier Field. But if they get consistant pressure, then it could be a long day.

The Cowboys need to establish themselves versus the better teams on our schedule to gain any confidence at making a serious run at the playoffs, and maybe even the Super Bowl. We're good enough to beat the middle-of-the-pack and bad teams, but to be taken seriously, we have to win the games against the good teams.

If we win the last 6 games, then just winning 3 of the first 10 games, puts us at 9-7,
4 at 10-6
and 5 at 11-5.

I would much rather but 9-7 and or 10-6, with a 6 game winning streak, then 9-7 or 10-6 with a 1-5 record the last 6 games, like we've done the last 4 seasons.

Try again next time

To be taken seriously you need to be able to win in december. Anyone can beat up people in the beginning of the season. It's at the end of the season, when the game is about execution under pressure. That is where you make your mark. There are alot of teams that start out hot and end poorly, because they can't execute under pressure. No one will remember you went 3-0 against the pats, bears, and Giants, if you end the season 3-13.

That's right. Our biggest game will probably be at home on Dec 16 against the Eagles. If they aren't as strong this year, then it will be one of the other division rematches (the second game). Even if the rest of the division is all weak, we have to wait until the first playoff game.

I'm solidly in the "won't get fooled again" mode with this team.

Moss was a Cowboy killer when we had inferior teams. And he is not the same Moss as he was then, and we are much better now.

I say we win all 3 games....
