Dak is not a terrible qb, and certainly not worth the money he is reported to be asking for. However, he is a winner, great teammate and actually in camp.

But if the option is between paying him HUGE money and making the tough sacrifice to move on, I'm moving on. Draft Mason Fine and have him be your QB in 2020. He's basically the next Russell Wilson. Also he went to the best overall school in the world.

I was so happy when we drafted him. He was the guy I wanted for before the injury and we ended up getting zeke and him.

Me too. Even with the way people criticize Dak, if the draft were held again he would be picked somewhere in the first round. Dallas picked up multiple first rounders on that draft day.

I’m finally watching Jaylon’s PC..

GOOD TIMES!

He seemed a little uncomfortable when they were sending messages about player compensation..

Ill never forget the way Bryan Broaddus and Dane Brugler looked at eachother with shock on the Draft Show Coverage lol.....

Broaddus has admitted several times how wrong he was in predicting Jaylon would never turn the corner and play in the NFL, because of the severity of that nerve damage in his knee.
he didn't think Smith would ever recover fully, recover from the drop foot condition. he didn't think it should have taken this long to fully recover (totally redshirted his rookie year)

Jaylon really persevered and stay courageous and driven to get back to playing form. and he says he thinks it's only going to be a matter of time before he's a captain of the team.
He wants to be a leader.

Here's another irony.
During that particular draft - it was reported that the Cowboys actually coveted and were prepared to pick DEs Kevin Dodd and Emanuel Ogdah (sp) before Jaylon, in accordance to their value draft board.
but Tennessee picked Dodd, while Browns picked Ogdah... thus with Jaylon sliding down to their selection in the 2nd round... the Cowboys pulled the trigger and selected Jaylon.

I thought Jaylon given his knee severity and questionable risk recovery was going to be drafted more so in the 3rd or 4th round.
But there's no question that the Cowboys having the inside source information from the very specialist that performed the surgery procedure on Jaylon's knee was the leading key to the Cowboys
pulling the trigger so in 2nd round to draft Jaylon.,

Best scene from All or Nothing.

So glad he is going to be a Cowboy for many years to come.

we need to revisit the draft day thread and review all of the message board gm responses to that pick.
No1 loved the pick because it was such a big unknown. Everyone loved the pick if he could play, and hated the pick if he could never see the field.

I commented on draft day as well over the next few months. Even a year later.
I did not like they picked him in the 2nd round, I thought they could have drafted another defensive players such as a S. No I did not want Myles Jack either.

I thought they could have waited until the 3rd round, or 4th. But from what Jerry said in the PC yesterday, a GM told him they were going to select him, and that was around 4 picks later. I have not ent back to see what team that may have been.

Any way, I though that loss to GB in the playoffs if we had that S from the 2nd round, that pass to set up the FG would not have been complete. But then again other things happened that that play never should have happened.

So then the reports of Jaylon getting better, I got over it and started pulling for him to get healthy. Well, I was all along since he was drafted even though I did not agree with it at the time.

Now I love it of course. And it shows us that we as fans do not know the slightest when it comes to what the FO is doing even though many think they do. And some way more than others. I know I don't, but as a fan just support them for the most part and hope for the best.

Byron jones would still have been there. And still would have given up that play unfortunately. Maybe if we take landon collins instead of byron in 2015 that would have been a different story.
