If you wanted to prove a thesis you need its corrollary

Did we have any subtraction by addition?

subtract production and 2 draft picks Add 1 WR

Also we "subtracted" two losses by adding games from Romo, F Jones, SS form prior injuries, etc

No, it's NOT a bash Wade post....believe me. Look at my post history and search on my Coaches thread. I made it clear there AND here that I want them back, otherwise we take a step back...didn't I even state that in my leading post here?

I'll say it again and again that we need to KEEP Wade & Company here for at least another year, but if we get the same results, it may indeed come down next year to addition by subtraction.....sometimes a change is needed to take that step forward.....which is what we did with the T.O. situation.

Well in your scenario that it is not a bash or get rid of wade post and even giving you the benefit that it was just a minute of general of numerous threads here...

I think many have pointed out the flaw in your logic.

TO was a cancer in the locker room. Now he was addition by subtraction for the chemistry issue but to look at it more I would argue that it only worked out well because Austin produced. IF austin and the rest of the offense did not produce similar or better numbers than at the end of the day the addition by subtraction of TO would not have worked out except for a chemistry issue. But it did work so you can now say that addition by subtraction worked in getting rid of TO.

Now for Wade you would have to see who we brought in to replace him to see if addition by subtraction would actually work. If we brought in another coach and the defense went downhill or the team as a whole did not produce better or at the same levels...it would be no it was not an addition by subtraction. If it did then yes I guess you could claim it was. But we could not know that until it happened.

People want to talk about wade's laid back attitude, how he does not scream, how there is a perception that he does not hold players accountable and so on...but we went from a coach that was like that in Big Bill...Big Bill had similar results hear with a totally different style yet we are getting the same results or better...actually better results.

So I don't know how anyone could say the team has taken on his attitude, and even if it did, it being a negative when the results are better than the coach we had before which seemed to be a coach that some want.

Much rambling on my part but in a nutshell I am saying it is my opinion that you are wrong.:D

Ouch. Draft day is going to be bitter sweet this year.

I was using the concept that others here agreed with...that by getting rid of T.O. we were essentially "adding" to the team via "subtraction".

It's not a thesis. :D

The bottom line is that if next year is the same, we may have to start thinking about this.....right now, people may not like it, but that is the way it is.

We NEED TO and SHOULD keep Wade & Company here this here, but a lack of progress....and this is the situation that people will be thinking of.

The addition by subtraction was brought up as soon as TO was let go....prior to anybody else stepping up.

That's fine....but look at my previous post on this.

If we have a lack of progress next year, this WILL be brought up by people..."Something HAS to change..." "Wade just isn't getting it done...", etc. type posts.

Hence the reaon that I do want to keep Wade & Company here this next year....and if there is even more progress next year then they can stay next year as well.

But if JG doesn't get his situational play-clling figured out again or if he continues on sticking with MBIII and giving him more carries than better backs on this team, then that is actually worse than regression....it's being blind and he would have to go only.
