Randle has been the Cowboys’ most productive runner this camp, handling the bulk of the reps for the first-team and oftentimes with the second unit.

  • Defensive tackle Chris Whaley had to be carted off the field with an apparent ankle injury. Whaley, who missed all of last season with a knee injury that kept him on Reserve/NFI (Non-Football Injury). Whaley has been working at both the 3-technique and 1-technque spots on the defensive line.
  • While Randle dealt with an injury setback on Monday, another of the Cowboys’ ball carriers had some positive news. Lance Dunbar said he plans to work on cutting with his injured ankle on Tuesday. It’s been five days since he tweaked it, and he hasn’t been able to practice since. Don’t expect to see Dunbar play against San Diego, but he said he’s hopeful he’ll be able to practice next week

Umm. Lets don't start this again. So we have more injuries than other teams or do I just hear about ours.

I've noticed Ron Leary has returned from his sore back pretty quickly -- could it be he's a bit concerned about leaving La'el to take his place too long, thinking he might look too good and pose a threat to bench him? Gotta consider that to be a distinct possibility. Definitely wouldn't say as I blame him though . . . lol.

We have nothing to complain about. All the injuries are very minor. I consider the Cowboys lucky thus far. Yes many small injuries but we have avoided the big ones so far. And that's the best you can ask for in my opinion

What do you mean let's not start this again? This is a Cowboys forum. I don't care who other teams lose to injury. I care about who the Cowboys lose to injury. And when the backs you're counting on to replace the league's leading rusher get injured, that's important news.

I'm glad for the updates. Some of us have to work and aren't monitoring all things Cowboys 24/7. So the updates are greatly appreciated, as are the comments from fans on how they feel about the injuries.

My advice, don't take the bait and get sucked into another meaningless argument.

What day is this? Why are we reading a Thursday practice recap today? Did these injuries happen last week?

Let's not start this again means let's not start the injuries for the Cowboys. You know because we've had a lot of injuries in the past.

Sorry that was so confusing to you.

Yes. I'm trying to suck people into arguments by not wanting more injuries.

So far, I think we have less than other teams.
No major injuries at all so far.

it's always dicey this time of year though.

If San Diego counted, all three backs could play.

That's what's really important
We have had very few serious injuries so far
And so far no serious injuries to those we are really counting on
It's early and they could come, but so far we have been very blessed when it comes to injuries

1st pre season game I'm not expecting much. 3rd and 4th string RB will carry the load in the game so the team will get a good look at them. I suspect Weeden will be working with 1st unit as Romo will likely not play in the opener. Defense is an area I hope to see guys looking good.

Darn. I was hoping to see Whaley crack some skulls this season. Hope it's not serious.

To be clear...they lost the guy who was the reason they traded Boykin to Pittsburgh. Big loss for them and another dumb move for chip

Yes it seems the genius did it again.......however it is a hindsight thing, how could anyone know an injury would happen...however, from a depth standpoint, and having your secondary suspect anyway, I think you would keep Boykin as depth. Would that 4th or 5th round draft pick really help that much in the future...who knows, but Boykin helps this year by keeping him.

It's like Jerry said, they will not be interested in trading one of the OL since they have depth. As you never know what will happen. And look, Chaz Green is on PUP. So who is the real genius, Jerry or Chip.....
But also, look at the RB situation, so a trade may forced to rsolve this. Let us all hope all 3 guys get bavk real soon, like after the SD game.

Yes, he was my pet cat on the D side of the ball. Haven't seen much other it was not the same knee injured in college. And could be an ankle, or Achilles. But that was from a tweet. I did not read the linked article here yet, maybe it was addressed it that.
The reporter that tweeted that should not speculate, other than a lower leg injury.
