I’ve been watching the NFL since I was 6. I don’t want to say how many years ago that was, but it’s a lot. I’ve seen teams start out like KC is with the current “hot QB” and more often than not something happens and things don’t go quite as smooth as predictions dictate. Mahomes had a really bad SB performance all thing considered. He’s the best QB in the NFL but he’s not Superman. It takes a team and teams have injuries, setbacks, bad luck etc. So we’ll see. That’s what’s great about the NFL. You just have to wait and see.

I can't/won't post what I've read about the NFL's plans but "minimum" doesn't appear to be part of that equation.
