After Randle got arrested last year for stealing underwear, Garrett took a poll of team leaders to get their input on keeping or cutting him.

DeMarco was the player that definitely voted to cut Randle.

They think that Romo and Dez voted to keep him.

Not certain about Witten.

I wonder if the poll was taken before or after they found out what Randle said. That came out awhile after the arrest (I can't remember how long).

Dallas Cowboys players Dez Bryant and Joseph Randle had a heated exchange at practice on Friday, causing Jason Witten to intervene.

The verbal volleys at Valley Ranch were reportedly over comments made about Bryant when Randle was being booked into Frisco jail for allegedly shoplifting cologne and underwear at Stonebriar Mall.

Jailhouse video caught Randle telling cops that “Dez didn't miss no games for smacking his mom.”

The veteran tight end got involved at practice and told Randle, the second year player, to quit talking to Bryant.

Apparently Randle ignored that because Witten has to tell him a second and third time to be quiet – all in the span of about 20 seconds. Witten didn't say anything to Bryant.

Bryant said he saw the booking video of Randle on FOX4 and took issue with Randle bringing up his 2012 misdemeanor charge, but tried to downplay the incident during practice.

“That ain't no big deal. It's not a big deal,” Bryant said.

Witten also tried to move past the incident when speaking with media after practice.

“You know, there was a small issue,” Witten said. “We just tried to get it to stop so we could move forward with practice. There's no issues there.”

Randle told reporters off-camera he regrets saying everything, but would not talk more about it.

Randle was fined $30,000 by the team for the shoplifting arrest.

More negative reporting about Demarco Murray. Each story created just makes people look even more insecure about what we have to replace him.

The part of the "story" I find concerning is that we are now counting on a player to replace Demarco who our team, coaches and fans consider cutting for petty theft.

Why does every feel good story about Randle have to attempt to cut down Murray?

I doubt Demarco felt threatened by him. His status was pretty much cemented here as long as he had a contract.
