Saw he was cut by the Jets.. does this guy have anything left? Seems he would be a major upgrade over Crayton as a PR. But then again don't know if you can devote a roster spot to him if he can't contribute as a receiver.

He's old as dirt in NFL years. I'd be surprised if he still has that blazing signature speed in him. I'm placing my bet on lost a step or two.

It's not that bad a thought, really. But we might get someone similar but better in final cuts.

Joey Galloway hasn't lost much, still a 4.2 in the 40 yard dash when warms up properly.

Isn't he about 50?

Who Galloway or Dwight?

Dwight's 32 and Galloway's 35

They're both on the dusty trail but I guess there's a small possibility Dwight might still have it.

So we're going to take up a roster spot we don't have with a 32 year old kick returner who was just on the PUP list? No thx

His senior yearbook has a epitaph; "Have a great summer, Dwight. Your friend, Jesus."

Dwight averaged 10.4 yards a punt return last year.

He is worth a look.

Dwight's on the dusty trail but Galloway hasn't missed a beat. If anything, he's a victim of poor QB'ing.

Tell me about it, poor Joey came to Dallas primarily to play with Troy Aikman, he gets hurt immediately, Aikman takes his final concussion months later and once more Galloway has to deal with mediocrity behind center just as he had in Seattle.

Then right when things feel comfortable Parcells trades him for Me-shawn.

Tampa promptly offers an extended carousel at quarterback.

HOF talent that will go the way of Alvin Harper in the record books.

Galloway is good but he was NEVER HOF material.
Dwight- as a punt returner could be valuable. Problem is that we would have to dump one of our young WRs.

yeah its tough to keep 7 wr's but the good thing about dwight is that he's a hell of a returner and can change a game.

If you remember the eagles a few years ago they had brian mitchell he was old but still knew how to return and he gave them great feild position consistently all year.

feild position goes a long way for your offense starting off good.

I think if anybody goes it would be austin he hasn't showed me much outside of returning and we already have a straight ahead speed returner in tyson thompson.

dwight has played in big games and wont fumble a kr or pr and could get a few catches here and there.

I say its worth a look

The Jets still need receivers. If they are letting Dwight go, then there is probably something wrong with him. It isn't so much his age. It is whether he is truly healthy.

He may have averaged over 10 yards per punt return last year, but he only returned 14 punts. He called for a fair catch on 9 other punts. That is 23 total chances, which is very few even for the only 9 games he played in last season.

He was not used as a kick returner and he only had 16 receptions for 112 yards(7.0 average) with 0 TDs. At one time he was a force as a returner, but no more.

Here are his reception totals the last 5 years, 50, 14, 2, 19 and 16. That is a downward trend.
