yeah its tough to keep 7 wr's but the good thing about dwight is that he's a hell of a returner and can change a game.
If you remember the eagles a few years ago they had brian mitchell he was old but still knew how to return and he gave them great feild position consistently all year.
feild position goes a long way for your offense starting off good.
I think if anybody goes it would be austin he hasn't showed me much outside of returning and we already have a straight ahead speed returner in tyson thompson.
dwight has played in big games and wont fumble a kr or pr and could get a few catches here and there.
I say its worth a look
The Jets still need receivers. If they are letting Dwight go, then there is probably something wrong with him. It isn't so much his age. It is whether he is truly healthy.
He may have averaged over 10 yards per punt return last year, but he only returned 14 punts. He called for a fair catch on 9 other punts. That is 23 total chances, which is very few even for the only 9 games he played in last season.
He was not used as a kick returner and he only had 16 receptions for 112 yards(7.0 average) with 0 TDs. At one time he was a force as a returner, but no more.
Here are his reception totals the last 5 years, 50, 14, 2, 19 and 16. That is a downward trend.
