Timb2's NFL Mock Draft 3-3-26( Post Combine) No Trades, but with Videos and Reasons for Each Pick

Two things . I could see Dallas smothering the Edge position by taking two of them first round . I’m of the mindset that with a full year in Dallas and new coaching young vet James Houston is important in the rotation and at a fair price bring Clowney back . This position is set .

Carson Beck at 16 Jets . Very interesting . Is he the QB who cracks the NY QB code where Sanchez Wilson Darnold Jones guys like that couldn’t . Can Carson Beck be a winner . Save Aaron Glenn’s job lead this franchise .

Jacas and Faulk are both 4-3 DE’s. I know we won’t be in 3-4 all the time, but edge rushers that don’t have the ability to drop in coverage occasionally really don’t seem to be a fit for what CP wants to do.

Both Jacas and Faulk have the size you want at Edge. I’ve seen Sam Williams among others just look undersized and get blown away on the rush , TE’s are knocking him off . Zero penetration on pass plays . Last years second round pick with the newly discussed surgery comes to mind . Dallas has not been physical at the point of attack .

Lol, he takes a guy that isn't in the top 50 at 12.
You take a Safety when the Cowboys already have to go more than 3 deep at Safety on the roster. Hooker,J. Thomas,Wilson,Bell,Clark,Childress,Woods. All in their Prime but we need a White Savior. Your pick is horrible and unrealistic.

Last season Alijah Clark got the biggest pay day of Dallas UDFA . Would like to see the new DC give Clark a shot to compete for one of the safety positions .

Lol, he would be our best safety in over a decade. Thieneman will go between 12 and 20. The guy you picked goes after pick 50.

A White Savior? Lol

16-Jets- Carson Beck QB Miami

Reason-Jets need a QB. Beck numbers do not lie and game expierence vs top college programs in big games. His size, strong arm. He is the pick over Ty Simpson.

17-Lions- Monroe Freeling OT Georgia

Reason- Lions LT Taylor Decker has battled a lot of injuries and might retire. Freeling could be a Day 1 Starter.

18-Vikings- Mike Washington RB Arkansas

Reason- Can you tell me off hand without looking who the Vikings starting RB is? That's why Washington who blew up the Combine with 4.33 speed at 223 lbs is the pick.

19-Panthers- Kenyon Sadiq TE Oregon

Reason- Physical Freak with 4.3 speed at TE. Panthers now have invested in the Air Game last several years Leggette & McMillen both 1st round picks at WR to go with now Sadiq.

20- Cowboys-Keldric Falk DE Auburn

Reason- Picking Back to Back Edge Rushers would totally throw. the rest if the NFL off. Truthfully we need two studs .Falk has ideal size 6'-6",276 lbs. 35 vertical and his arms are 34 3/4 in length

Faulk looked slow and goofy at the combine.

Faulk looked slow and goofy at the combine.
How's Troy Apke doing in the NFL? 4.34 forty Safety from Penn State? How about Stuart Schweigart, how great was his career? Matt Johnson? Adam Archuleta? Sabby Piscatelli? Stan Smagala? These Safeties all ran great forties ,yet didn’t set the NFL on fire..

Falk at the Combine looked goofy? How about in his video highlights? I rest my case.

I give you props for the time and effort you put into this mock drafts

However I gotta say, I would not be a happy camper if that was the Cowboys day one draft picks.

I like Jacas...I would HATE it at 12

There is no way I can fathom the idea of taking a player that is not the 12 best players in this draft or on my board and taking him over other players the board would have better.

You could trade down if you wanted to bad enough, even if you might lose out on the trade value chart. I honestly do not believe he would be the 20th best player on the board.

But it would be more a better decision if you loved him and still get him at 20 even after trading down from 12 or taking a BPA at 12 that would also fit a need. It is not like this team only needs Pass rushers and every other position is good to go.

We have issues in the secondary. Even if they get lucky and Revel turns into what I think he will, even if Bland remains injury free...That CB room is very thin.

Same for the Safety room. You got more names but with the exception of Hooker it is very thin. You could easily take a very good hybrid safety in the first round and take another safety later in the draft to shore this position up. Kind of tired of seeing the safeties out there on the field looking lost and not knowing what their assignments are.

I think for this team Howell, Mason Thomas and Height would be better I also think Mesidore would be better.

Oh....Beck going in the first before Simpson, Just do not see it. Some teams might like his size but many will be turned off by his lack of maturity even with him being older than some of the other prospects. The Hurricanes made it to the Natty in spite of Beck, not because of him. That defense and running game bailed out beck many times.

I also like Arkansas RB Washington. However I do not think he is the second RB drafted. Could be, but I do not think so. But I think he has a better chance than Beck going as the second QB.

Jake Kelly BYU...another player I really like a lot.
No way do I see him going in the first round. Too many other LBs that are just over all better than him. I do not think he is seven the best LB coming out from the Big 12, I do not even think he is the best LB coming out of the state of Utah schools. I think Barton is better.

So no dissing you. I just do not see that draft as very realistic. But hey, I could turn out to be completely wrong.

Appreciate the input, why on some of the points you brought up.

Jacas looked great at the Senior Bowl and 27 career sacks and he is strong 30 reps. Last few years NFL teams have been playing games with the Sports Mock Gurus Mahomes was suppose to not be in the 1st round and he went Top Ten. Shedur Sanders 5th round vs 1st round. Jacas I believe will move in to discussion some already saying Jacas could sneak into the bottom of the 1st round.

Safety position- 7 talented guys. I want Markese Bell to start because he was a tackling machine when Dan Quinn played him at LB. Clark,Woods, and Childress all look good. Really do not see the urgency to draft a Safety high unless Caleb Downs was there.

Carson Beck over Ty Simpson. Beck has more expierence. Bigger in size and frame. Also Simpson looked good first 9 games then teams caught on and he struggled the rest of 2025. Ty Simpson is listed as 6-2, but the Combine listed him at 6-1. I think he is too small and will getinjured too much.

Jack Kelly is kind of a throwback player and I think Jim Harbaugh would like that on his defense. Also West Coast team picks a west coast player over their own media hyping them more often than east coast players. Cody Barton is the same type of player, but Kelly can run fast 4.53 to survive at the pro level.

I think Jacas is a 2nd rounder and very well could sneak into the bottom half of the first round if there is a run on DEs....However no way should be be taken at 12th overall Nothing wrong with liking a player, but I just can't believe that this team would have him listed that high and revert to past tendencies of drafting for need.

The current DC wants that hybrid type safety that can play LB, S and Slot/nickle corner in a pinch. They like that because when other teams are doing no huddle quick offenses they have someone that can be versatile. Problem with many of the current Safeties on this roster is that some are mostly box safeties with limited coverage skills. Some are better against the pass. None are a good combo of both like Downs, Thieneman or McNeil-Warren. Not sure if you remember a couple years back but the Eagles used two first round picks on DBs. One to play CB and the other to by that hyrbid safety player. Both have went on to have ProBowls and first team All Pro status. This whole new defensive staff has had ties with coaching secondary. The jones boys have both basically said they need to improve the secondary. I think it is fair to say that fixing the secondary on this team is a big priority.

When I say Barton from Utah, I am talking about Landar not Cody. They are brothers but Landar is much better and has similar speed as beck.

Even with that said the Big 12 Jacob Rodriquez from Texas Tech and Jake Golday from Cincy are both better LBs. This two have had talk of them moving up the boards anywhere from the 2nd round with a chance of moving to the bottom of the 1st.

I think ASU Keyshaun Elliot is a LB that many have not really heard of that could be a good later round LB. He is more of a two down run stuffing LB and that is why he is a later round pick.

Now I think we have talked about Beck before. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on him. I do not think he will be the second QB taken, that will be Simpson. I also think he will not be the third one taken....I think some team will fall in love with the LSU QB Muss sp?
