I'm talking about 30 rushes, if we have to.
It's time to see what this "Pro Bowl OL" of ours can do...

While I want to see us run the ball more, I am more interested in seeing the passing game get back on track. To that end if we go aerial circus and end up only running 15 times, I will be okay with it if the passing game is clicking again.eduncan22;1844700 said:I'd like to see Dallas establish the run this weekend.

Romo is hurt, our defense played well last week, and we're on the road. Let's hope our guys up front can run block though. They have been very, very inconsistent at it this year. And as one writer said, if you dont do it very often, you almost forget how. Different mindset than pass blocking.

They'd like to double TO and force us into throws to our TE's and RB's.
I believe it's time to launch a ground offensive.

1. julius for a loss!
2. julius for 2, running into his own man!
3. julius breaks one!
i think we'd have 15 of 1 and 2 and then misc for the other 5 carries.
there's a reason we rely so much on romo and it's not just because he dates hot chics.
do you ever stop to ponder what you say or do you just blurt it out and wonder why you get "those looks" all the time?
Cogan;1845006 said:I'm sure you know all about "those looks". You probably get them all the time for writing stuff like that.
Jones is not the RB to give the ball to if we want to establish the run, & I think we all know that. However, you infer that Jones is all we have. Our best weapon by far is Marion Barber. There is a reason that the "Coaches" around the league chose a back-up RB to be in the Pro-Bowl. It's because Dallas is one of the few teams around the league that consider him a second choice.
The "Barbarian" is one of the best RBs in the NFL. Don't think so. Look at his 4.9 average per rush over the past two years. It is better than almost all of the so-called franchise backs ahead of him in yards rushing. That is why HE is going to Hawaii & Clinton Portis, Edgerrin James, & Frank Gore are not.
If the 'Boys want to establish the run during the stretch run & into the playoffs, they would do well to give the opponents a healthy dose of Barber. Then, next year, they need to let Jones leave to FA, and make Barber their feature back. Sure, they should draft a Matt Forte, or a Justin Forsett to come in for a few rushes to give Barber a blow, but give him the chance to prove what most other teams already know--he's the REAL DEAL. There is no RB in the NFL DBs want to tackle less than Barber. He will either make a move & make them look foolish, or, more often than not, will give them a facial, and run over them.
If our 'Boys want to dominate like our teams of the Emmitt era, then they need to give "The Barbarian" a raise, and let him carry this team when it's time to put a boot to the throat of the opposition.
