It's about time to start getting Brice involved in this offense.

All preseason Dakota and Butler were connecting beautifully...

The Commanders have two very solid corners..

It's time to send Dez on crossing patterns which i think is his best attribute anyway.

Send Butler deep and get everything opened up for our running game and everything else.

I also think Swaim has potential in this league.

Not sure i can take another Witten screen.

in all honesty Dez had great chemistry also in preseason. I want to see a 5 wr set get them all on the field at the same time

They indeed had beautiful chemistry...That's my favorite thing about Dakota ...he spreads the ball around to everybody...He really likes Cole.

It's time to START Butler. TWill is a waste. He can come in on 5 sets, also it's time to get Whitehead some short throws in space.

I really like Cole as well I wish he had caught that one on the first drive lol but I love watching him burning slot CB's and I enjoy watching him run after the catch

I wanted to re-watch the first Drive and I noticed they had Witten 1 on 1 with Vernon on Zeke run to the outside.

Also seen Witten for TD on 3rd and goal but Dak went Zeke for a 2 yard gain

Dakota? Dakota?
What's this about? Should we call Tony Romo Antonio Romo, what about Dezmond Bryant. Or Zachary Martin?

I may agree with your point about Butler...but I'm not sure because you lost me with Dakota.

If they didn't do it in TC, you can bet your sweet bippy that it's not going to happen during the regular season. You'll see Butler get 1-2 targets a game and you will like it.

Nailed it.

We have all these weapons, but they have specific plays and play randomly. It's killing me to watch this boring scheme!

Cole needs to be benched for Butler and Dez inserted in the slot. Anything else is ignorant.

I disagree. Cole is better in the slot than Dez. But I will say, if we're going to send ANY receiver on the "go" route 21 times in a game it's Butler, not Dez.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for putting Dez in motion or in the slot sometimes, but I'm not in favor of benching our best slot player full time. Dez needs to beat his guy every once in a while regardless of where he's lined up. This past weekend wasn't the first time Dez has been neutralized by a JAG in this league.

Odell is in the slot a lot, as is Brown. If Cole is better than Dez in the slot then Dez isn't that good and we aren't going anywhere. All the targets Beaskey got in the slot would've been much bigger gains of Dez had those same routes.

Not all the time, but more frequently. Beasley is best when he's used how he was with Romo. With Dak/Cassell/Weeden he was a main target. Dez can get open just fine from where he lines up, but they simply refuse to run him or Williams on slants, crosses, bubble screens or the likes. I'm not sure putting Dez in the slot is the actual answer if they aren't going to have him actually run routes to utilize it properly, or if he is even capable of maximizing his time there.

Dez isn't nearly as explosive, shifty or fast as those players. His most effective route from the slot is likely going to be a slant or cross where he can use his physicality more. Basically what I'm saying is you won't see him gain 3 yards of separation in an instant from pure quickness like Brown or even Beasley is capable of, which is a huge asset when it's a blitz or short 3rd down. That slot receiver is frequently the one who has to beat his man in the middle quickly on a blitz and I'm not sure Dez fits that prototype well enough to have him play in the slot that frequently.

Use him in the slot more? Yes, absolutely. Bench Beasley so Dez can man the slot? I wouldn't go that far.

I can add Julio to that list as well as prime Anquan Boldin. everybody wants to act like Dez isn't capable of this and that. it's a bunch of bs. he'd be a monster with well designed slot plays. think Demaryous thomas. pardon the anger. this offense annoys me sometimes

Ok. Let's drop the screen to Witten but, the 2-4 yard out is still money!
