It's kind of funny, but pre-season is the one time that I don't really care about the game. I just want to see individual players step up to bat, so that I can see what they've got to offer.

I was disappointed with Ivey last game. Didn't know squat about him before Rod looked so happy we got him. Unfortunately he stood out on too many plays in a bad way last game. I'm hoping he's learned a thing or two this week. Lots of other guys I want to see.
Yes, I don't usually even know who won the game but I watch all interesting players over and over.

I originally thought Ivie was not very good but after another review he was a little better than my first impression. He did get some penetration and he was good moving down the line against runs to the edges.

He showed decent hand usage and upper body strength.

He did get blown up a few times but DL in this scheme tend to do that when they are learning. Marinelli has them start most snaps as pass rushers and then adjust to play the run. That causes them to be in a bad position on some run plays and look silly.

Even a veteran like Paea will look silly on occasion which happened a couple of years ago when Paea played against the Cowboys.

That is disappointing but pretty much the same around the league.
Not really. Most of the games last night had starters and stars playing at least a series.

That said, I understand. With the firestorm around the franchise right now and the uncertainty for the first six weeks, this game is well beyond meaningless.

Jerry's in the HOF and had a 16 million dollar party.

Some players will miss games with Suspensions. We don't really know how many or when until it actually happens (see Brady, Tom).

We do know there is a Cowboys game tonight and the season is just a few weeks away.

If they don't get some production from the large number of young players on defense, then none of the other stuff will matter anyway.

Many players need to show something in these preseason games.

Do we really get to see Jaylon?

The list of players that have something to prove (talent or health) is long.

Just in time..........Another "who cares, everything will be great, suspensions dont matter" threads.

Chaz Green blowing open holes for Darren McFadden. SB all the way!!!!!!! WEEEEEE!!!!!!!

:lmao: I'm, I'm curious clove, as what exactly is involved in your Preparatory pre game regime, like do you soak your typing hand in Palmolive dishwashing detergent for 15 minutes prior to kick-off?
What foods are consumed to fuel this Herculean task that you undertake?
And,, what kinda of special /Hi-tech gear do you employ?

Your fan faithful have been pestering me for the longest time about conducting this behind the scenes casual casing-liner interview with you:)
 Actually, I just hang around the house, occasionally I come on here to see what's going on, maybe say something or two. About 10 mins before the game, I pull up our roster and I pull up the opponents roster and make sure they're in numeric order. That's about it. I was actually looking for a color guy/girl to work with me this year, but hey. Thanks for watching.

Yesterday's events made this game less than insignificant for me.

It really made me question how much I enjoy football as a pastime.

If the game has become more of a place where greed drives the product and the owners of the product are more concerned about social issues than the product on the field, I wonder what kind of religion in the form of the NFL I have been supporting for a very big part of my life.

I cannot speak for anyone else. I follow the sport to give me a break from things.

I do not and will not tolerate it becoming more than an escape.

I am not so mentally weak that I need societal issues speaking to me through sport.

When it becomes a politically charged platform, I check out.

And it is getting very very close to it.

Why didn't you post last season while the team was winning 13 games?

I posted the whole season. Was telling guys like you that Chaz Green would flame out again and that the pass rush would eventually be our undoing. Nailed both. Where were you?

With a little side of Romo wont start another game in Dalllas and a scoop of Dak Prescott is the real deal. Nailed those too.

Looks like almost nobody is playing tonight.

With five preseason games this year, they don't need to. The starters can get in a series or two against the Colts next week, then play the entire first half against the Raiders on the 26th. Backups can play the last game as usual.

One note- let's not forget there's no cut to 75 players anymore. Teams can keep 90 right up until the cutdown to 53; making the last preseason game easier to get out of.

The NFL just suspended our star RB for political reasons. This is what makes the NFL such a garbage sport. Might as well be McNFL.

If you think I'm going to watch one more NFL game until this is resolved in Zeke's favor you're delusional.

And I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

Rams coach on who isn't playing (interview from yesterday)...

(LB) Mark Barron
(WR) Mike Thomas
(OLB) Robert Quinn
(CB) Kayvon Webster is going to be a game-time decision

So basically all their starters vs our backups.

That helps us more than them. Going against better players makes you a better player. Inferior competition not so much.

I hear you, pretty sure you've not noticed my posts ,but I'm so far past your position on this that I'm really wanting Jerry the owner to pull the team from playing, I don't know what kind of contingency plan the league has as it would effect roughly half the teams in the league ( less than half really) but it would be about the most profound overt act the N.F.L. could face,,,ya, I like football but when this **** is so blatant, in yer face and then G D smirk mug bout it,,, **** It,,,

Either watch or don't. No one else cares. The people pontificating about boycotting the NFL and other dramatic reactions like this scream of self-importance.
