Time to seriously start looking at this QB draft class

If Dak doesn't look like he can put this team on his shoulders and the rookie year was a fluke, we can't mess around and hope for a "bounce back" third season with the unique QB class coming up.

Sam Darnold, The Chosen One, Allen, and Jackson are all quality QBs that any other year, would be considered top 5 talents if not for the competition.

I think Darnold is going to the Jets while Jags will snag one of the other QBs if Bortles doesn't step up. But we are in serious contention right now to have a top 15 pick with how our defense is and the way Dak has played.

Time to find a true franchise guy that can make all the throws and doesn't go noodle arm on every other intermediate throw.

**** Dak has no Safety net in Romo anymore and i think the pressure is getting to him.... Not to mention I never last year thought he could be a romo type of QB.. He needs to be a head and he's at his best with running game working and playing from a lead or a marginal deficit, i have to 2nd your opinion that he cannot put team on his shoulders.

Baker Mayfield
QB 8 Oklahoma Sr 6-1 218 In the 3rd works for me.

lol at this thread and the reply, now is not the time to seriously look at the top QBs from this draft class. For starters, even if Dak was a fluke, we're still likely to pick some where after 16. Second, after 1 bad game, this is just completely premature.

You are getting a highly flawed prospect anywhere outside the top 3 overall overall picks in virtually any draft, and most drafts outside the top 2.

You're one of the worst posters on here, congrats

If you don't know for sure you have an elite quarterback, you should continue looking for one.

Of course it is - why wouldn't it be? Actually, we should have still been searching last year in preparation that Dak hit a sophomore slump.

He's a 4th round pick - we didn't give up much to get him and he is showing why he's a 4th rounder now. If he doesn't play consistently well, it's time to replace. This draft coming up has too much talent to overlook it for Dak.

It's not time because we won't be close enough to pick one without trading up significantly.

Where do you think we will be drafting? If we play like we did against the Broncos, there is a chance we have a top 20 pick. This draft may end up having 5-6 QBs going in the first and early second. We won't need to trade up into the top 5 to get a good prospect.

Was our coaches another quarterback no matter how good isn't going to help all that much. It is still too early to be judging Dak on two games.
Part of the problem is Dak and the other starters only played one set of downs or so in one preseason game they didn't get ready to play.
Also whole O this year or at least in the Denver game and Dez looks bad so far .

and in the Denver game the offensive line looks bad.
so far various parts of the offense just doesn't look that good right now and I think they just weren't ready to play this season they should get better as it goes along.

I will say that it wouldn't hurt to draft a good quarterback prospect if they can not necessarily to replace dak, but just to have somebody to try and develop.
But overall I think they need to draft defense more than trying to get a quarterback

With how we've been with drafting defense, it might be best we just go all in with FA for defense.

You are serious really. What did you see last year?

Take a look at Tom Brady's first three years

2003 New England Patriots 16 527 317 60.2 32.9 3,620 6.9 226.2 23 4.4 12 2.3 82T 44 8 32 219 85.9

2002 New England Patriots 16 601 373 62.1 37.6 3,764 6.3 235.2 28 4.7 14 2.3 49T 37 3 31 190 85.7

2001 New England Patriots 15 413 264 63.9 27.5 2,843 6.9 189.5 18 4.4 12 2.9 91T 32 6 41 216 86.5

Brady had a hard time in Denver also.
Dak doesn't need to explain himself you do.

Brady won Super Bowls 2 out of those 3 years.
