Seeing him clap on the sidelines, is nauseating. Hearing the press conferences brings the vomit up and out of the mouth.
I would give the proper credit but I just can't remember the name of the poster who said it last night or this morning.
However someone called him the Ginger Clapper and for some reason that cracks me up.
In the end clapping or not clapping on the sidelines does not mean anything. Just as someone ranting or raving (WVU Coach) or someone just standing there all stoic (Landry). That does not mean anything.
But I can't lie and say it does not irk me...cause it does.
He just always looks frozen and overwhelmed. Stoic is one thing. I don't need a coach with a "visual" fire or intensity as long as he knows how to communicate. It's like Garrett is doing his best impersonation of a coach. His eyes are as wide as saucers anytime something happens. It just screams panic.
Guess I'm a gluten for punishment.
Come to think of it Jerry's may be worse (at least AS bad.) The big part of that being, obviously that everything falls to him and he's just a bumbling idiot who never has answers or is always deflecting with an overly obvious surface answer.
I dont see how anyone can still listen to anything Ginger Clapper has to say.
He missed his calling. He should be a politician with his vagueries, nepotism, and tired cliches.
There is still time for him though.
the only part of this thread that made me smile
I am about as anti-Garrett as can be, have been from his days as OC and especially after he became HC.
But, what do people really want from these press conferences? Do they want to see the coach bow down and apologize like shamed corporate heads in Japan? Every losing HC's press conference is pretty much the same these days. They all say the same old crap. "All three phases...played a great team...turnovers...didn't make plays...have to look at the film... The HC isn't going to call out a player or tell you anything about a certain play or throw someone under the bus.
On rare occasion, you got the Dennis Green or Mike Singletary meltdown and see some heart-felt emotion. "Playoffs?!" Not these days, not anymore. The coaches aren't making a fool of themselves on national TV. I guess the NFL makes money off of people watching the HCs standing in front of some corporate logo blabbering about nothing.
