Why does our success of the early 90's have to belong to one or the other ?
Jerry in my opinion is a great Owner, but not GM.
In the early 90's he was very helpful to Jimmy in a supportive role.
I remember Jerry getting our #1 draft picks signed and in camp on a regular basis.
So why can't we give both credit, as each played their role in those SB Team's accomplishments ?

Because the haters need something to justify their skewed opinion. The lovers maybe the same, but not nearly as bad as the haters.
More moving parts in play than JJ and the NFL of today vs. back then. But people don't see it that way in TRUE reality.

Jerry is a horrible GM and bad owner because he refuses to fire perhaps the worst GM in the NFL

The 90s was ALL JIMMY

Why can't we give credit where credit is due ?

I'm no "Jerry" guy... nor am I a "Jimmy" guy...

The fact of the matter is that the football gods came together for our early 90's run and it was glorious.

Jimmy got his wish in Miami and had good teams but also suffered the worst playoff loss in history...

The bottom line is these two are intrinsically joined. Great together, not so much apart...

And who hired Jimmy? Without Jerry there is no Jimmy.

Its sad that the drought of .500 football has left the fan base to ponder the "glory days" like an over weight drunk Al Bundy. Its pretty clear what has changed since the "glory days" were last here, some 20 years ago.

The Hershel Walker trade is where the credit lies.
The talent was so strong that even Switzer got a Super Bowl out of it.

Here's some reality for ya:

NFC teams that have played in a Conf. Championship Game since the Cowboys last appearance in 1995:
  • Philly (5)
  • Green Bay (4)
  • San Francisco (4)
  • Atlanta (3)
  • Carolina (3)
  • Minnesota (3)
  • New York (3)
  • Chicago (2)
  • New Orleans (2)
  • St Louis (2)
  • Tampa Bay (2)
  • Seattle (2)
  • Arizona (1)
There are only three teams in the NFC that haven't achieved a damn thing in the last 18 years: Washington, Detroit and us. Only one of those franchises has an owner who accepts mediocrity. I'll let you work out who that is.

Looks to me like its 3 owners, not just one.

The Dallas Cowboys are not relevant now and have not been relevant for several years. The continued popularity speaks volumes about the greatness this team had at one time. That massive fanbase is starting to fade away. Every year that passes sees more and more fans turning away from this team. I can't understand these young fans and the reasons that they become Cowboys fans. They have not been exposed to the greatness that this organization produced. These young fans must have a fondness for the circus. I am more amazed at the older fans that has seen greatness , but chooses to support and endorse the way this team is currently run.

Because the haters never give any thing but over blown criticism with zero acknowledgement of what good Jerry has done.
It's like you guys are the enemy of an opposing team.

no need to worry, I think Jerry has given Jerry enough credit already......even for the mediocre seasons lately.

Prove it's skewed.

Because I can produce a video where ESPN talks about Jimmy being the executive of the year. And while there are great numbers here that want to dismiss ESPN, they have access not one fan here at the Mason Dixon line has and knows more inside information than anyone here.
