They should not be overlooked!

Offense:
They moved the ball well and they have some quality skill players at RB/WR/TE.
They used a lot of multiple WR sets and ran from this formation consistanly.
Their OL looks to be shaky, so we should be able to get pressure.
Henry ran the ball well between the tackles against a tough Miami run defense.
Collins looked pretty comfortable and for the most part threw the ball well.
They shot themselves in the foot or this would have been a blow out.

Defense:
Very string front seven. Combo of DT's haynsworth, Starks look strong in the middle.
LB's are good tacklers and have good range(Bullock, Thorton, Sirmon)form a quality group as there is for a 4-3 defense.
DB's play is o.k. not great, but they do have Pac-man & C.Hope.
They use the 46 attack defense and they blitz from many angles. This shouls at least prepare us for Philly.
It appears to me if Collins can manage the game this defense will keep this game close.

We better come to play!

This is one of those games where if the Cowboys win the satisfaction won't be that great, but if they lose the hurt will be especially bad because the other team is supposed to suck.

I have been on gotitans.com and they said that Hope and Pac-Man are lined up on one side, and on the other side of the secondary is a very weak, highly exploitable duo of Reynaldo Hill at CB, and Lamont Thompson at Safety. Also their offensive line is make-shift, and has provided no time for Collins, not to mention they have failed to pave any paths for the running game in which both of Tennessee's backs are averaging under 4 ypc. Henry is averaging 2.7 ypc, and Brown is averging 3.3 ypc. Both have yet to break 100 yards TOTAL for the season, so their running game is non-existant. Collins was deemed starter today at QB and has struggled against defenses that cant stack up to ours(exclude San Diedo). He struggled @ Miami, and struggled vs. the Jets, both of whoms defenses are worse than ours. Its all about pressure folks, and our defense BRINGS THE HEAT!! The front 3 we got with Canty, Spears and Fergy, are pushing opposing ol's in the backfield, and the LB's are getting sacks, and making plays on the ball. Our secondary is stout, and we should have success slowing down Givens and Bennett, Givens is still learning the offense, and Bennett is way too inconsitent to make an impact. Newman and Henry should have no trouble shutting them down, especially with that bye week to prepare. Get reaady Boys, WE GOT THIS ONE!!!!!!!!

I hope its a beat down, but honestly its probably going to be a much tougher game than most on here seem to expect...they might be 0-3, but they could be 2-1 and should have beaten Miami Sunday...Jeff Fisher and their staff are good coaches

its not like we are some machine here, on either side of the ball...we'll probably win 20-10 or something

cowboys 24-3. fisher is a good coach but without the horses.

i'm seeing visions of a knocked-around kerry collins. and i doubt roy-will will forget the way he was punked by chris brown about a year ago in pre-season.

Henry ran the ball well between the tackles against a tough Miami run defense.

He had 21 carries for 60 yards-- a 2.9 average... doesn't sound like he ran so well to me...

As for that "tough Miami run defense", they rank 17th in the league (same as they finished up last year), at 104.3 yards per game... before allowing just 62 yards to the Titans, they were allowing 125.5 yards per game, which would rank them 23rd in the league this week...

The Fins' run defense is NOT good, and the Titans did NOT have any success to speak of against that rather weak run D...

They shot themselves in the foot or this would have been a blow out.

Well, they ARE second in the league for worst turnover margin, at -5, and 10th in penalites, with 20. and 10th in penalty yardage, with 172 yards... so shooting themselves in the foot seems to be a trend with them... they do it most every game...

Bad teams shoot themselves in the foot with some regularity... they are likely to do it again this coming Sunday...

Defense:
Very string front seven.

Oh, gimme a break, would ya?? The Titans currently rank 29th in the league in total defense, giving up 386 yards per game... that would obviously not be the case if their front seven really WAS strong...

Combo of DT's haynsworth, Starks look strong in the middle.
LB's are good tacklers and have good range(Bullock, Thorton, Sirmon)form a quality group as there is for a 4-3 defense.

How are we supposed to take you seriously when you revise history this way??

That "stong in the middle" defense, with "good tacklers", is ranked 30th in the league in run defense, giving up 163.7 yards per game... that's AWFUL... they give up 4.5 yards per carry, 27th in the league...

DB's play is o.k.

ZERO interceptions in 3 games, covering 95 attempts, is "OK"?? In what parallel universe?? The Cowboys have 2 ints in 67 attempts, and none of us are satsified with that...

69.5 per cent completions allowed is "OK"?? That ranks them 30th in the league...

It appears to me if Collins can manage the game this defense will keep this game close.

And of course, his glittering 42.3 quarterback rating suggests he'll manage this game just fine... or maybe it's that 46.7 completion percentage that scares me (a percentage that suggests you also SEVERELY overrated their receivers back toward the start of your post)... or the 1 TD to 6 ints ratio...

It's one thing to say the Boys shouldn't overlook this opponent, to suggest this could be a "trap" game, but it's quite ridiculous, the way you've just hyped up the Tennessee Titans beyond all sense of reality...

They suck, son... only team playing worse right now is the Toxins...

If the Cowboys were playing the Dolphins instead of the Texans I would be more optimistic about the Cowboys losing. Although, I still give the Titans I slight chance, just because.

Stats do not tell the story. I rewatched the game play by play.
He ran hard and kept the Miami defense from selling out on Collins.
That is how Collins racked up the passing yards.
I hope you are right, but I saw a Titan team that has ability in a lot of areas on their team. I dont judge everything by a stat sheet.
We will see if they blow them out Sunday?

Actually, they do-- if you know how to use them... I have spent a lot of football seasons learning how to do just that...

Excuse me if I prefer what a stats sheet tells me, over the subjective opinion of a football fan... for my money, you severely overrate them...

BTW, I never said anything about any "blowout"... as Dan Jenkins once wrote "that's the thing about a football, it ain't round; it'll bounce funny on ya"...

But don't doubt that the Cowboys will be the better team when they take the field on Sunday, and by a fairly considerable margin... as the old folks used to say, "the race doesn't always go to the swiftest, but that's the way to bet"...
