Cowboys owner Jerry Jones refuses to apologize for radio outburst

“I don’t know that I would go as far as (calling) the volume connotation as yelling,” Jones said, via The Athletic. “But the facts are that if I’m going to be grilled by the tribunal, I don’t need it to be by the guys I’m paying. I can take it from fans and take it from other people. I take a lot of pride in how fair and how much I try to work with the media, we’re brothers and sisters. But I was a little frustrated there today."

“The wrong ones were doing the questioning. Now, if those had been real fans sitting there or if there had been people that knew what they were talking about, football people, I might have had a different answer.”

It's admittedly difficult to feel bad for Jones, but this is a new low.

Blinded by rage and embarrassment over the Cowboys' miserable start (this is a bad 3-3 team, folks), Jones laid waste to the narrative that he doesn't control the local media. Tuesday's interview along with his response gave the impression that he wants to dictate the narrative. Again, 105.3 The Fan is the flagship station, but Jones does not pay the station's work force.

Jerry bought the Dallas Cowboys to make money. Those first SB’s were needed in order for the money to come in, and Jerry has been counting the dollars ever since.

This is no longer the Dallas Cowboys, it’s a NFL org held hostage by a money maker not a football lover.

If you’re paying for anything Dallas Cowboys you got no one to blame but yourselves.

It's "all in" about the money. There has been countless articles on fanzone about the cheapness of the Cowboys. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

There are tons of Cowboys fans that fully turned on this team yesterday.
I can't bring myself to turn my back, but all respect I had for the organization is gone. What was aired on radio was borderline fascism, and that's being generous. The owner of America's team, gentlemen. I think it's time for all of us to voice our displeasure of the piss poor job this jackass has done for the last three decades. If he won't hear it from a radio host, maybe he will listen to us...you know...the ones that keep the money flowing for him. Just a thought....

The media needs to bash him into submission. He likes the limelight, the microphone so much. I want to see him turn and walk the other way when the media is calling. Jerry Jones, head down in dark shades as he walks through a crowd of reporters with no comment

That's true but Jerry could go behind the radio station and pressure the advertizers to remove their Ads from the station in order to force them to fire Shan and RJ.....I'm not saying he'd do that but that's what he could do to pressure Audacy or he could cut ties with the station being the flag ship station of the Cowboys...

Jerry Snyder refused to spend money this off season and now I think I know why, Jerry Snyder is waiting for the league to come down on him hard for threatening those 3 sports reporters. I'm thinking $ $10 million is a good round number that Jerry Snyder should be fined for his insane attack on these guys that were just doing their job, which is more than his team did this past Sunday. Hope the league hammers this slimy idiot................

I'm really feeling like I may be done with this team until he dies. This has been my team and a part of me for 40+ years so I don't say that lightly. I am torn because I don't want the team to lose, but I don't want him to win another game for the rest of his wretched life. Obviously, both of those things can't happen.

That interview, with a billionaire threatening the livelihood of people that were just doing their jobs that maybe, possibly, pays them an upper middle class wage, and asking him questions he didn't want to hear...man that unlocked a whole new level of hatred in me for that dude. I disliked him before, now... well, I wouldn’t be upset if Father Time set the clocks ahead on him.

I will openly root against them and laugh the rest of this season.

Jerry and this franchise are terminally malignant to success.
