Game Summary: The 7-3 Dallas Cowboys will face off against the 3-7 New York Giants on Sunday night in East Rutherford, NJ. The Cowboys are coming off a very much needed bye week rest after a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England. The Giants are coming off a terrible offensive performance against the San Francisco 49ers that saw quarterback Eli Manning throw five interceptions. New York’s latest defeat extended their current losing streak to five games. A big factor in this Sunday night’s matchup between these two NFC East rivals could be the weather as there is a forecasted 100% chance of rain with winds up to 20 mph in the open-air stadium.

Mid-40's windy and rain... sounds like great NFC East weather. I look forward to a Cowboys blow out victory.

I'd much prefer to see the game played in fair weather but it's not like we'll have a choice. Poor weather conditions usually leaves the game more up to chance than if the conditions weren't poor. We'll just have to deal with it, just like they will. Here's hoping our guys prove themselves to be good "mudders." Hopefully, we'll run well and hang onto the ball.

Late November in NY at night? We should be jumping for joy that the low is going to be in the mid-40s (and the highs are in the 50s). Those aren't poor weather conditions, those are near miraculous weather conditions for this time of the year in NY.

The Giants will load the line with 8 or 9 in the box to stop the run and force Romo to throw in rain.

I hope you're right. That will play right into our hands. A Slippery field favors our receivers.

My reference to the weather was in terms of playing on a muddy surface, not so much the temperature. You've got a valid point about that, though and I can certainly appreciate that aspect of it. The warmer the better.

Yep. Romo is going to have to be successful enough throwing to back the Giants off from the line of scrimmage some.

Part of the run games success has been because Romo will kill you if your defense loads up to stop the run... so that backs up the 8 and 9 man fronts.

We all saw what happened when Weeden couldn't throw the ball worth a crap... Arizona just loaded up and stopped the run. Some people thought that was because the Cardinals defense was just that good against the run but really it was just that Weeden couldn't hurt them for bringing 9 guys up, so they never had to get out of their run defense. In short: Arizona didn't have to face the conundrum that Dallas had put other defenses in, so it was easy for them.
