speaking of cowardly, TNew

how about dipping that shoulder and closing your eyes...and completely whiffing, on that long Buckhalter catch-and-run?

How so?
She seems to be quoting Newman himself, and while she might be making a leap as to what and who he meant, if he said these things, then it's far from worthless and really quite disturbing.

If TNewman said that then he is dead to me.

No player, no matter how talented, should be allowed to speak that way about a teammate.
If if has a problem with Witten, TNew needs to speak to Witten. Alone. In a dark alley. If he dares, the coward.

Witten is as tough as a Waffle House steak and TNew is made out of balsa wood and is hurt all the time.

Witten is the lone bright spot this year.

Newman needs to shut his pie hole.

Newman is now dead to me. :shoot2:

That isn't what I saw. He tried to tackle him. He stuck his head in and dove at him and tried to tackle him. It was a bang, bang play. He got there just as Buckhalter was in range. He went all out. He is a very physical player. He has proven it.

Some of you guys amaze me. Terence Newman played great football when he came back after that bye. He shut people down, and you can count the number of plays he gave up on three fingers. He took the other team's best receiver all over the field.

One on a wounded duck he couldn't find. One on a perfect throw by McNabb, and one on Holmes where he got caught peeking. By the way, the defense picked him up with a goalline stand.

How can any of you prove Newman was talking about Witten?

Newman told players and coaches that they need to be accountable for their play after Newman was himself called out in the press by the head coach. Newman took responsibilty for his play on the field after the first Washington game, and he was playing hurt. Oh, yeah. Some of you call him a girl. You all don't know what you are talking about. The person that said that stuff is a coward. I think it is a bottom feeder player.

I still say Newman was calling for Wade Philips to hold Garrett more accountable for the offense's play. The defense didn't play bad. It was the offense and special teams that kept this team out of the playoffs.

Blame the turnovers and poor, sloppy offensive football.

he didn't go all-out in my opinion

I haven't seen Newman really commit himself to the running game in a long time

he's still a fine corner, but he looked like Deion in the running game this year

Philly scored 44 points, that is not all on the offense. The defense did not perform to their level of talent for most of the year. So blaming everything on the offense is extremely lame.

What more do you want? It was a bang, bang play. He stuck his head in there and dove as the guy was flying by. He made the effort. He tried to hit him and attempted to wrap him up. If he wasn't that fast, he had no shot. Where was everyone else on that play?

Newman drilled receivers every chance he got. He drilled Jackson in that very game. He punished WRs on short passes in front of him.

I just do get how you can say Newman shied away from that guy when he hits hard for a 5-11 185 pound player.

Newman and Witten are two of my three favorite players on this team. If Newman was trying to single someone out, he should have had the balls to say who it was, or kept his mouth shut and kept it between him and the culprit.

Those of you who have chosen to 'kill' Newman in your minds....might want to think about the guy's loyalties. He's a Dallas Cowboy, and a proud one at that. I can't recall anyone treating the star with as much reverence as Terence Newman.

There is an incredible amount of confusion in times like these. For players, coaches, fans, etc. Luckily, 'times like these' don't last forever.

I know the defense didn't show up in that game.

Arizona

The defense gave up 17 points

Pittsburgh

The defense gave up 7

The offense and special teams gave up 13

Baltimore

The defense gave the offense every opportunity to win that game.

That is why they missed the playoffs.

we may have been seeing it from different angles, but that attempt was one of the most half-hearted I've seen

I'm sorry, Bob. You are wrong. The guy ran full speed, had the angle, stuck his head in, full extention dive, and attempted to wrap him up. The running back was just a little stronger than your 5-11, 185 pound corner.

Go look at Keith Davis and Ken Hamlin against the Ravens to see poor tackling technique and bad angles.
