I'm sorry, Bob. You are wrong. The guy ran full speed, had the angle, stuck his head in, full extention dive, and attempted to wrap him up. The running back was just a little stronger than your 5-11, 185 pound corner.

Go look at Keith Davis and Ken Hamlin against the Ravens to see poor tackling technique and bad angles.

we are definitely looking at different plays

because the closest Newman got to wrapping up was Buckhalter's feet

are we talking about the catch-and-run in the 1st quarter, to the 3 or 5?

TNew might be saying there are a number of cowards on this team. They certainly looked like the cowardly lion against Philly. And that includes the whole team and coaching staff.

Newman has been a big diapoointment to this me this entire year.

I think this team is about as fragile as they come. They are a bunch of whining babies, and all they really want is an excuse.

This whole "snitch" stuff is just another excuse. They should have manned up, dealt with it, ignored it afterwards, and played football. Instead, they get crushed in an embarrassing manner, and then they cry some more about this snitch.

If they want to know who "ruined" the season, they can all look in the mirror. That's on everyone associated with the Cowboys from Jerry to the coaches to the players.

Grow up, Cowboys.

I have to agree they don't need to be on TV saying anything. I wasn't sure about everything he did say and I'm not drawing any conclusions from it. Maybe I need to see it again.

But I didn't walk away with a warm fuzzy feeling.

I know the defense didn't show up in that game.

Arizona

The defense gave up 17 points

Pittsburgh

The defense gave up 7

The offense and special teams gave up 13

Baltimore

The defense gave the offense every opportunity to win that game.

That is why they missed the playoffs.

Failed us last year as well after putting up huge numbers. The defense is good enough although it could and probably should be better.

Right, but here's what JFE said:

Pretty big "if" there, JFE. Witten said on his own show he didn't do any such thing and he had no idea how his name got brought into any of this.

JFE = utterly worthless.

Chocolate Lab,

You have common sense, too. Jennifer Floyd Engel is making this leap that Witten was the mole.

Newman didn't call out Witten. I want to see the prove that Witten is the mole, and Newman is talking about Witten.

Someone show me, please.

I want to tell you people something. Jason Witten played for Phillip Fulmer at the University of Tennessee. He is from the Bible Belt. Witten wants to win. The team has always come first. If you guys can't see that a guy like Witten would never do anything to sink the lockerroom in the middle of the season, you are all idiots.

Witten isn't the mole, and I say that because I have watched his career since he played in Knoxville. If he wants to tell you something, he's coming to your face. I have never heard him throw other people under the bus, ever.

If he did, he wouldn't hide, because he isn't a coward. If you can't see that, you are all stupid. Do you really think Jason Witten wanted to cause all that drama by telling ESPN everything they wanted. It isn't Witten's MO, and it isn't in him to sink the team for personal gain.

So, get off Terence Newman's back, and get off your high horses. None of you know who the mole is, and JFE sure doesn't.

I was thinking that the mole was perhaps one of the coaches. I thought there might have been an issue with Stewart earlier this season, but I could be wrong.

This is why, IMO, no coaches or players should be permitted to talk to the media. Only the HC. That way, there is only one voice representing what happened in the game, in practice, mini-camps, and TC.

We are talking about the big play. Bob, Newman had the angle, because of his speed. However, he got there just in time as Buckhalter was exploding free. We disagree. I thought he did all he could. He had to dive to just reach him. Buckhalter was lucky he didn't get tripped up. It was a do or die play, and Newman gave all the effort he had.

Again, where was everyone else? Where were the middle linebackers and safeties. Newman came from the sideline and at least gave himself a shot to stop him, and that was more than anyone else did on that play.

It wouldn't have mattered, anyway. Dallas turned the ball over 5 times.

Once again, we get more confirmation that Ed Werder didn't make his story up.

I agree. Owens throws Garrett or Romo under the bus when ever he feels like it. Now, Romo, after the last two games, has taken shots at Garrett or the offensive schemes after the last two games. Romo may be right, but he has to be careful with what he says in public, or he becomes Owens.

I think Newman saw the ship sinking in the lockerroom, and called out Wade Phillips in public after Phillips called him out for one play that was the very least of our problems in Pittsburgh.

Newman simply called for players and coaches in the organization to be accountable for their play or job. You can debate whether he should have said it in public or not; however, the message needed to be sent by someone, and it was. The Cowboys won the next game, and Newman was on the horse trailor. He backed it up on the field by playing great football.

I think Newman was telling Phillips to take control of the team, and I think he was referring to players and coaches on the offensive side of the ball. The turnovers killed the Cowboys this year, and that is a fact.

Newman threw a Pat Watkins half-hearted shoulder block. It should've been a 10 yard game, but Newman's weak effort made it 60.

Brian Stewart is the mole!

Must be...he can't coach and lost his job mid season due to performance. So he decided to enact his revenge...makes sense.

If you want to get rid of the mole, gut the bottom of that roster. It needs it bad.

Perhaps, Owens should go, but it will not happen. He can't continue throwing Garrett under the bus, or saying, "I don't call the plays" or "I don't throw the ball". "I'll consult Jerry about the offense if he asks me..."

This is crap. I'm sick of it, and it is setting horrible example for this team.

Tony Romo should be the sole voice for the offense, the leader. This is a proble, imo,

These guys need to go for sure. If the mole is a player, he's probably in there.

That's unfortunately not realistic in this day and age.

Isn't that what BP instituted when he was here?

No coaches or players permitted to talk to the media (during the season, at least).

Just the coaches.

The NFLPA wouldn't be big on not allowing the players to speak.

I'm pretty sure the NFL prohibited that kind of gag order a couple of years ago.

Funny how Newman is calling people cowards when poor little Terry looked like he was scared ****less to get hit on one of the long breakway runs against the Ravens. In fact, he completely gave up on that play. Look in the mirror, chump.
