This is to all the people who claim that the "combo" of Julius and Barber works only because of Julius, and that Barber can't carry the load, and that we're better off with Julius starting and Barber getting a few touches in the "right situation".

Please, pay attention.

You'll notice who was in the game at the end of the game. You'll notice who was sparking the offense. You'll notice who was running over dudes when we needed the tough yards.

You'll also notice who was juking his way into defenders. Who was going down at first contact. Who was running the ball out of bounds to stop the clock, when we wanted to eat up the time.

Barber should be the starter, stop apologizing for Julius, he should be the one spotting Barber, not the other way around. The only time he sparkles is when there's no one in his way and he can outrun guys.

I still think JJ should play but it's obvious Barber is the better back.

AMEN brother.

When Julius went out of bounds late in the 4th, I was beside myself.

2 different coaches and 3 years later, JJ is still the starter. MBIII repeatedly bounces the ball outside, whether there's room in the middle or not.

While his TD was a great run, he could've easily gotten the 1st down where the play was designed, but instead risked the possession by bouncing it outside where he very well could've been tackled.

I'd wager the biggest reason MBIII doesn't start is that he runs with a punishing style, and they don't think that he can hold up over the course of a season.

Bring on Mcfadden. ;)

Seriously though, Barber is defintally appearing to be the better back but as far as being frachise caliber Im not so sure of. Jujo will be gone after this year assuming we get a good back in the draft.

pay attention...did you notice the first quater when JJ softened up the defense...oh i guess you missed that hu? Barber may be the better back but (may) but he would not be as good as he is without Jones...so next game why dont you pay attention and see who does all the work at the beginning softening up the defense.

You wanna provide a counter argument or just make the JuJo homers sound dumber?

There is no possible way any sane human can say Julius deserves to start over Marion after tonight.

I agree Barber should get a chance to start, all the talk about how Jones is the home run hitter is non sense. When was the last time he actually hit a home run? Hell how often does Jones actually make someone miss? In my opinion Barber would put my pressure on teams to come up and stop the run, as he is able to grind out tough yards that elude Jones.

Softened up the defense??? According to who? That's bogus and you know it.

Ask MBIII if the defense was "soft" when he came in as compared to Julius. He was hitting the same lanes Julius had in front of him and ignored. Go back and watch the replay if you don't believe it.

He had a good game. Probably around 80 or 90 yards rushing. He's a good back. I like Barber better.

I would just suggest to all the "Bench Julius" and "Our D is terrible and Wade sucks" posters....

look down the board. If a similar thread has been started, post your thoughts in there. Chances are, your thoughts probably aren't original enough to warrant their own threads.

JuJo: 16 carries, 66 yards
Marion: 11 carries, 65 yards and a NICE TD run.

How does that favor Julius in any way?

its a known fact to anyone that watches football that it takes a while to wear out a defense. JJ ran against a fresh defense the whole first quater. did you notice how ny's d got more and more tired? hmmm....sounds like softening them up and wearing them out to me...
