Love him or hate him, there's a reason we are in the playoffs and it's not Tony Romo or Bill Parcells...

TO has been the most consistent player on this offense and has made plays no other receiver would have been able to. He started off somewhat slow with Bledsoe during his hand injury, and has made the most of Romo's limited passing abilities to quietly have 13 TD's and almost 1200 yards...pretty solid numbers.

Despite the man's larger than life ego and off field antics, he delivered. And without him we would not be a playoff team or even a .500 team for that matter. His season is even more impressive when you consider there was a snitch trying to undermine his star power all season (My guess is it was Terry Glenn).

The only gripe I have with TO is that he didn't stand up and support Bledsoe when he should have and should have. Obviously his numbers could have been real good if Bledsoe played the whole season and could have got the ball downfield to him.

I'm looking forward to seeing what TO will do next year with a real coaching staff that knows how to acclimate him into the game early and often. Also if Romo isn't the answer than we can bring in a strong armed QB that can get the ball downfield and then nobody will stop us!

I disagree if there is a MVP on offense for this team it is Romo.

Boy oh boy. You're looking to start a fire. :lmao:

I am of the belief TO has been a very good addition to the team. I'll leave the quibbling about the monetary details and stats to those that care to go into detail.

That said, there's no denying the true MVP for this team this year. See my sig for more information.

We brought TO in to get us "over the hump," did we not?

Last I checked, our record now is the same as it was a year ago with the Tin Man starting and no TO. I don't think he's helped us one bit more than we needed. He hasn't been as advertised, and you have to see that.

Newman/Demarcus Ware

2 most consistent players on the team who impact the game.

Our secondary cant cover but Newman can.

Our front 7 cant get a pass rush but Ware can.

That's an incredibly simplistic look at it. One I would expect from Jen or Grandpa. The offense, and specifically the passing game, is clearly not the reason we are no better than 9-7.

Trying to rile everyone up, StarAmongStars? It's funny how you took shots at Romo while tooting Bledsoes's horn, knowing that many Romo lovers on this board will go berserk. And you cleverly took a shot at TG, knowing that LTN is going to be all over you. This is the kind of thread that could end up with 7 or 8 pages. And as far as who is the MVP, I don't think we had one this regular season, but Romo, TO and MBIII deserve props on offense. And DeMarcus Ware was a difference maker all year.

Owens' drops have cost us games, at least 2. That's not very valuable to me.

No he isn't. He was good, but Barber and Romo were every bit as important on offense and Tony Romo sparked this team to what it accomplished this year. He had 1st year jitters to end the season, but still played amazing.

My vote would go to Romo easily.

Ware on defense.

Alright... I have a little more to say.

Excellent point. Although I would pin those "limited passing abilities" on a lackluster Oline.

This is pure speculation on your part. I'm actually glad he sat back and let the change take place. It's not his job to be a spokesperson for coaching decisions. It's his job to perform on the field. I think he is learning a little every week about keeping it quiet in front of the media and letting your play speak for itself. He's going to be big in the playoffs. That's basically why he's here. Last year we sputtered. This year I have more confidence going into the post season where everyone is 0-0 and teams have to figure out how to stop both of our 1000 yard receivers.

Here's the key point... Will our Oline show up. That's more important than anything else we're discussing right now. Let's continue though just for the heck of it.

I too am looking forward to what he will do with a full season under his belt and a nice offseason to improve upon his performance this year. The fluke broken hand and torn tendon will be completely in the rear view mirror. Actually, it appeared that he had begun to regain confidence in that problematic tendon against the Lions. That should carry over into the playoffs. Make no mistake, TO loves it in Dallas. He will never get more media exposure than he gets here playing for the Boys. He likes Romo. I think he also likes Bill. I also believe he and Romo are developing a chemistry that will take us deeper into the playoffs than we think. For the first time I saw our offense open it up a bit and show a dynamic side against the Lions that I hadn't really seen all season. More of the same this Saturday will put us squarely in Chicago.

Romo isn't going anywhere and his arm is plenty strong. He desperately needs any semblance of a pocket to start from. Beef up that Oline in the offseason and we'll see vast improvements in Romo's game.

I think one goes hand in hand with the other. Romo needs TO and TO needs Romo....

TO is among the leaders in first downs... leads in TD's in NFL...

Look at the "Points for" and "Points away" in the standings...

In the NFC we are second only to Chicago.... 427 to our 425 points for the season....

Only the Chargers(492), Colts(427) and Bears(427) score more than we do at 425... that makes TO almost 25% of our scoring with 92.... then of course there are his first downs and other catches that lead to scores...

with that said AGAIN they need each other.... NO MVP's on this team...

In my opinion I think Romo is this teams offensive MVP. Romo has gotten many players involved on offense and helped spark this team when it was in need. So in my view Romo is this offensive MVP and I would not doubt that is who our players will vote as the offensive MVP

Let me reiterate, if there is any MVP at all on this team that person's last name begins with a R and ends with a O.

Romo and his wild like Favre turnover nature keeps him from being MVP... his turnovers cost us 17 points... if its gonna be thrown out there that TO cost us 2 games... then Romo cost us atleast 2 also...

Like I said, IMO, no MVPs... but if Romo and TO had started the season I think it is a safe bet to say that TO gets around 16 TD's for the season easily...
