We used 1st round picks on mazi, guyton and taco. We used 2nds on sam williams, g escobar, and schoonmaker. If I can get a pro bowl defender under 27, I'd do it now.just don't over pay.

For reference see Mingo, Lance, Cooper.

Id rather take my chances with the picks then trust this awful front office trade, they are awful

This team needs way more than a pro bowl player. Those picks have to be used and we have to hit on them to fill multiple roles or this team will continue to suck

Touche. Actually a great point.

Our drafts have been pretty crummy for a while now.

You keep the picks, never throw good money after bad. If you don’t trust Dallas to draft the right players with them then why trust them to use them in a trade?

We have a great offense. With lamb coming back as well as booker. One or two more stops a game will do it. A pro bowl end can do that.

Lol,
Except your not going to get a pro bowl player.
You’re going to get someone who hasn’t lived up to their current contract that teams are trying to dump their cap and players on the last year of the contract that the current team has decided aren’t worth resigning!

Moving pics just because past pics failed is moronic!
This defense isn’t a player or 2 from being a contender.
It needs an infusion of hungry talent. Not a couple of ringers being overpaid on past performances!

There are several ways to look at this:
1) use the picks to get players for the future in the draft
2) use the picks to get players this year in trades
3) use the picks to trade for more picks; which will have to wait until the end of the year to see what they are worth

I like getting more picks as long as they are at least third rd or better; because this team needs about a dozen better starters if we are going to actually contend for a SB not just the participation trophy division championship

However, one should always be shaking the trees and checking things out.
Some teams will be letting excellent players go due to cap problems; others will be changing coaches and the players there do not fit their system.

Five years is all you can expect to get from one player anymore due to FA and the CAP. So the idea of keeping someone their whole career is going to be very rare. Simple reality.

THEREFORE I would be OK trading for players now if it means building for the future; meaning 26 year olds and maybe 27 and no older. DEPENDING ON THEIR POSITION. Those positions like the O line where you can play well until 32 or so you can raise the bar a year or two. Others, like RBs, well those you pretty much HAVE to get in the draft as their shelf life expires so early.

BUT this means the boys have to change their ways: no more dumpster diving to fill holes. No more picking up injured players. Being very careful about head cases.
We must use FA as it is intended; not as a way to save money.
Trades, Draft, FA is how championship teams are made and the boys need to do that.

They're not saving this season w/ trades. If you want trades start mentioning names. Besides Schotty n Stephen said the personnel is good.

Use picks in the draft and spend money in Free Agency or trade picks and then resign the player you traded for.

We are significantly farther away on defense than 1 or even 2 players. We need like 5 or 6.

It would be stupid to trade pick(s)for 1 player that has to be most likely immediately resigned and then we can't afford to participate in the Free Agency.

Go get a legit defensive player in Free Agency and then Draft the best players available, preferable defense, or trade back for more picks, if none are available.

Please focus on physicality and not finesse. We don't need a CB, who does not like to tackle. We don't need a speedy DE, who can't hold the edge. We don't need a fast LB, who can't take on a block and still make a tackle, we don't need a rangy FS, who can not help support in the run game.

Do not reach. We could use help basically anywhere on defense.
