To those who want to hold on to the picks

We used 1st round picks on mazi, guyton and taco. We used 2nds on sam williams, g escobar, and schoonmaker. If I can get a pro bowl defender under 27, I'd do it now.just don't over pay.
Yep. The Escobar, Mazi, Taco and Schooner picks make me want to vomit. Our FO and McClay suck at picking.

If GB's pick looks late in the first, I may offer it to an awful team for their next 2 2nd rounders '26 & '27

They’re not close. Trade makes no sense. No one is giving up a good young defender, except at a premium.
And even without a "huge" premium that player is likely in a contract year so now you give up picks and have to give out a big contract to boot

100% correct. If we were one player away, like GB believes they are, that may make sense.

However, we are like 5 players away on defense.

A Super Hero could not fix this defense by themselves.

I literally cannot stand our owners - WE ALL KNOW that Eberflub is going to get canned in 3 games or less when we keep getting our doors blown out. He’s lost the entire D side of the coin.

We have a great offense. With lamb coming back as well as booker. One or two more stops a game will do it. A pro bowl end can do that.
Who are you suggesting we trade for? There are players that I would trade those picks for but I don’t think they are available.

GM Jethro could do that, in an attempt to appease some of the fan base, however it is not going to fix anything. The problem is only going to get much worse moving forward, as we head into the harder part of our schedule.

Every team is going to have hits and misses in the draft. Overall, the Cowboys hit more often than they miss.

Since 2005, they have had 4 seasons where they finished under .500.

That simply does not happen if they consistently draft poorly.

The bigger issue is they won't get aggressive in free agency to fill more needs.

The cowboys rely way too much on the draft and cheap FA
until that changes we stay where we are MEDIOCRE

Over pay? Jerry will sign Pickens and make Aubrey the highest paid Kicker in the league.

After that we will not have cap space to trade and sign a pro bowl defender, never mind one under 27.

Maybe a has been pro bowl defender at 32.
