Interesting. Might be an upgrade. Maybe, bringing in his College coach would benefit Prescott also.

He became the fall guy for Aaron Rodger's 15-16 game stretch where he had a 80 QB rating. McCarthy essentially promoted him to OC and let him call the plays and then last year reversed that decision and took playcalling back over.
As we saw in 2016 with the Packers the issue wasn't Clements as the Packer's funk last 9-10 games this season.
Clements could be a good pick up HOWEVER I doubt they would kick Wade Wilson to the curb for him.

Yes, it seems that Jerry has a liking for Wilson. Maybe he is more skilled than we understand.

In the same way that we have great coordinators who make bad HCs, there are also great positional coaches who make bad coordinators.
Clements turned JAGs like Grbac and Kordell Stewart into Pro Bowlers. Both of their careers then fell off a cliff when Clements moved on
Favre had his best years with Clements and Aaron Rodger's is essentially a Clements production.
