The team that Bill Parcells inherited was just like this and was on the tail end of three consecutive 5-11 seasons. People laughed when one of the first things he addressed the domino games, cleared out a clubhouse turned into a hangout, shooed players out of packed trainer's rooms and whirlpools and made players earn their star.

Now we are right back to that same environment and people like you find it as no big deal. Coach Parcells said it when he left. Soon we would be able to tell he was never there. How right he was.

He's not responsible. Those who allow that kind of environment are responsible. We know exactly which individuals fall into that category.

Would their names happen to be Jerry and Wade?:

played ANY kind of organized sport, you KNOW that ALL lockerrooms are " cliquish ". People like to hang out with people they like and/or have things in common. That don't mean a damn thing.

The problems arise when those " groups " start going after each other usually because of useless gossip and petty jealousy. When teammates don't have each other's back on the field, or even off the field.

Everything else is just hogwash.

I do find it as no big deal.

Is the disappointing season my fault? If so, let me apologize for not addressing the domino play- I had no idea.

Who cares, the Dallas teams of the 90's won three Superbowl titles last time I checked with a lot more problems than this...

Jerry doesn't get it and never has. He doesn't know what it takes to win, but as long as he's calling the shots and the team is in the news and he's making money, so all is good.

Was a lockerroom the scene of that particular crime? I thought that blood splatters were found elsewhere...

Wow, makes you wonder what this reporter does in his free time. I'm sorry but playing dominoes is wrong, because?

It's always someone trying to stir it up w/ the Cowboys. Here it is almost at the NFC and AFC Championship games and they still can't stop talking about them.

Do they actually play dominoes or do they just see who can make the longest chain and have them fall down?

Maybe they should try Scrabble or Jenga.
Those games require patience. I'm not so sure that some of our more "impatient" players would do so well.

WOW....are these guys reaching at straws or what?! Now dominoes and so-called cliques are the reason our o-line forgot how to block or our WRs cannot get open or our OC forgot we actually have good RBs who can run the ball! Are the coaches are taking part of these cliques and "bones" tourneys? If not, what's their excuse?! We all should face reality in that this team didn't perform at a high level when it counted and simply may not be mentally tough enough as a group to succeed. Talent-rich...yes but also mentally soft and until the brain catches up w/ the brawn we are bound to repeat history...

The dominoes games etc. is a symbol of a locker room that just does not get it. We saw a little of this kind of childishness last year when we saw video of Stanback play-wrestling with a teammate while Colombo and McQuistin sat back and were amused the week before the divisional playoff game. If having a loose locker room was associated with a team that won, nobody would care. This is a symptom. Dominoes are not bad. A childish bunch of players who are not professional and mature is. Again, it would not be an issue if we won. So, until we do, these symptoms of a poorly controlled team will continue to be noticed and reported.

Imagine if it were a classroom. If you know in advance that they have poor test scores and you walk in and see a bunch of immaturity, what would you think? Shake your head and say boys will be boys? If so, congratulations. You probably have a lot in common with our laid back head coach.
