In wake of Belicheat missing first ballot this year, it reminded me of past greatness and real men that dominated this sport. Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson were men’s men. True gladiators that ran their teams with the greatest coaching of all time. Belicheat isn’t the greatest to ever do it. I don’t even rank him top 5. Without Brady, he isn’t even top 20. For all those here who remember true coaches, this is what the modern cowboys are missing. We need a coach like those two legends!!

This is a known fact.

Bill Walsh could make a case. Not just him but how many fantastic coaches trace back to him.

how many SBs did he win without Joe Montana?
How many super bowls did Landry win without Staubach? How many did Belichick win without Brady? Are you saying for a coach to be considered the best they have to win without more than 1 QB?

Landry had Stauback, Dorsett, Calvin Hill, Duane Thomas, Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Ed Jones, Harvey Martin, Randy White, Chuck Howley, Mel Renfro, and many others, yet he only won 2 SBs, losing 3.

I dearly loved the man, but it’s hard to even argue he was better than Chuck Noll. No way he was better than Belichick.

Without several HOF players Landry and Jimmy are just regular coaches too.
