I'm not either but it's not because of "bad luck" but because it's too bloody cold and I no longer own a car.
Colgan Air 3407 went down in Buffalo NY at the outer marker 5 miles from the runway threshhold on Feb 12 2009 on an ILS approach. Pilots weren't bothering to monitor airspeed and as the airspeed slowed, the plane's stick shaker activated warning of a stall, and instead of lowering the nose and applying full power like all student pilots know to do, the captain pulled BACK on the yoke causing a full stall/spin into the ground - and that was it. Totally pilot error and totally unnecessary crash. All aboard died plus 1 on the ground. I'm a Commercial Pilot (and former CFI) and I can't tell you how stupid and needless this entire crash was.
In that regard, Feb 12 is indeed a day of infamy. So sad.....RIP
